This high grade Chinese Oolong contains apple pieces, caramel bits, almond pieces, safflower, sunflower, mallow flower and natural aromas. This delicious Oolong is a nut lover’s delight. The natural inherent nuttiness of the Chinese Oolong combined with the addition of almonds and caramel make this tea a must try. Great for multiple infusions, infuse the first cup for under one minute, and the second and third infusions at 1.5 minutes.

I must say I was rather disappointed in this tea… and most oolongs in general… As I have heard so many good things, I thought I would try (multiple times) to like it… So far not so much… I can’t decide whether or not I like the smell and the taste is… strange… I’m not even sure what to call it… Maybe nutty is just not my kind of flavor… If anyone has any suggestions, I am more than willing to try more ways to make this tea! I followed the steeping recommendations exactly and even tried it with milk on a separate occassion and that was just terrible…
I didn’t think I would care for this tea – don’t know why, I just assumed. How wrong I was – when I finally smelled it, it was everything I had been looking for; I just hadn’t known where to look! This blend is so sweet, but not overpoweringly so. It’s got caramel and almond that I had expected Caramelissimo to deliver, but I didn’t find it did. this was just what the doctor ordered. The almond isn’t super powerful, too, whereas some almond teas can taste entirely different. Give this one a sniff while you can (before Teaopia is gone to become Teavanna!) and decide quickly if you’d like to take some home! And don’t forget to try it as a latté with vanilla soy if you like it sweet! 0
One of my all time favourites time and time again, the first steep it creamy and caramelly, the second steep is a bit more watery but you can really taste the apple second time around! I think I steep it a bit too long (2-3) mins the first time but I like it that way. Its the only tea I routinely resteep.
Originally when I walked into Teaopia I was looking to purchase their plum Oolong, but as soon as I asked the salesgirl she pulled down the Creamy Nut cannister and hooked me with this sweet smelling nutty tea.
Dry, this tea has a smoky, sweet, nutty scent that is actually quite heady. I don’t get much of the floral but this isn’t surprising.
First cup – I’m almost always disappointed with my first cup. Flavours aren’t really complex, and that smoky nutty taste is almost offputting. As a rule I end up pouring the first cup out. Possibly use of more leaves would solve this problem, but I think that would alter later infusions too much.
Second Cup – There’s that flavour to match the scent, but nicely diminished to managable levels. My second cup tends to be cloudier, and by far the darkest. If you have one of the toffee bits this is the cup it will dissolve in, bringing more of a creamy sweet. It also appears to be the cause of the cloudiness, as any of my second brewings without a toffee chunk are clear.
Third Cup and Beyond- This is it! The smokier flavours have mellowed and blend with the nuttiness. Hints of the floral notes are there, hiding below the other flavours. Usually at this point I can look forward to two or three more cups before it’s just too weak.
Overall this is my comfort tea for when I’ve had a bad day. The ritual of the first washing, and looking forward to that third infusion while reading a good book always helps to smooth out my considerable temper. Plus it’s much nicer to my thighs than a slice of cheesecake, but just as satisfying.

I was a little apprehensive about trying this again. My tastes have changed, will I still love it. Is it really a good tea or am I just emotionally attached? What if I do still love it and really can’t get more now? What if I hate it and it effects all those fond memories I have of it? Sigh…. OH I LOVE THIS TEA – I STILL LOVE THIS TEA – THIS IS MY PERFECT DESSERT TEA Really happy to be drinking it right now.

Really incredible! I used to work at Teaopia and this was my go-to for customers not knowing where to start! It’s got sweetness that isn’t too overpowering and it makes a great hot cup of tea with a little added sugar or honey. :)
