I tried this tea for the gag, but surprisingly it was actually decent. Not the best…not the worst. Average, which is all one can really ask for.

Thank you Roswell Strange (and aisling of tea) for yet another sample of matcha to try. I am having this as a matcha milk and though the start of the sip is delicious (think cotton candy ice cream – YUM!), it quickly goes downhill when the flavor becomes very grassy. If only the cotton candy flavor could last through the whole sip. I wonder how this would be on a white base…

Sipdown (188/190)!

What goes better with hot, fresh out of the oven brownies than a glass of cold milk? And, what goes better with a glass of cold milk than a tasty matcha whisked into it?

Anyway, this is only sort of a sipdown; there’s still enough left for one more cup but I’m going to be sending it to Keychange. Now that I’ve properly tried all (except the White Chocolate) the matchas I have, I’ve started to compile my “matcha sampler” for her so that, come payday, I can send it out to her ASAP!

This cup is pretty good; I actually taste the cotton candy a bit more strongly than I remember tasting last time – though it’s still a little weak/fleeting for my tastes. I’d love something more akin to that tasty pastel pink/blue cotton candy ice cream you can buy! If I ever place an order for more of this one, it’s definitely going to be at a higher flavouring level.

That said, I’m ok with saying goodbye to this one; out of the match/milk combos I’ve tried I think I liked Bubblegum a lot more, and it sort of “fills” the same spot in my cupboard that this one would have – so right now Bubblegum is the one I’m looking to eventually repurchase.

VariaTEA

I really liked this with the exception of the grassiness at the end of the sip. I am wondering if that maybe can be attributed to the age of this matcha??

I strongly recommend Cotton Candy Matcha! It is a great sweet treat (especially for people on diets) with a lot less calories than other sweets that is very healthy (a lot healthier than bagged green tea); I like it much better than candy bars and soda, and it is a lot better for you than regular sweets! I got a 60g bag (large). I usually drink it iced, but it is great hot too. To make it taste just like cotton candy, you want to choose at least the “Distinct” flavor when ordering it and use sugar (about 5 teaspoons for a large glass and about 5 tablespoons per pitcher), not Sweet ’N Low. To make it last longer, make it by the pitcher using 1 tablespoon of Cotton Candy Matcha per pitcher. When making a large glass, use just 1 teaspoon of Cotton Candy Matcha. To make it hot, boil 1 cup of water on the stove, but not too high because it will diminish the flavor; put 1 teaspoon of Cotton Candy Matcha into a cup, and pour the boiling water in the cup slowly, then stir it. Drinking it hot brings out more flavor than cold. Buy Cotton Candy Matcha at http://www.redleaftea.com/matcha-tea/cotton-candy-matcha.html. I plan on getting it again.
