Sunset In Seattle

This one just looks freaky thru the see-thru bag it came in.
The vanilla ‘powder’ is powerful! And nice smelling. The overall aroma consists of Chamomile, Mint, and Vanilla. The color post-infusion is a cloudy gray-orange-yellow type color. The taste is minty but floral…Herbally yet smooth…lemony yet vanilla….this is odd but lovely…interesting and surprising…and you know what…I really like it! The aftertaste is minty yet sweet! Opposites completely attract in this case…and it makes me grin from ear to ear!

This came to me via a “Mystery Swap” with Eva. Thank you so much for sharing this with me. This is one I would have never picked for myself because it has rose chips and Chamomile, but am absolutely in love with!

There are very few herbal teas that make me think man I want more. This one is going to have to go on my caffeine-free want list. This is so nice and calming. I get, mint, I get lemon and I get vanilla with a hint of fruity. The cup keeps getting better as it cools a bit. This sample will not see tomorrow!

First sip – Nice balance of chamomile and other herbal elements.

This tea is a wonderful herbal tea with a nice sweetness and a good balance of mint and vanilla. It also has a great chamomile taste that is not bitter, but sweet and blends well with the herbal elements of this tea.

Like others have said this tea looks really strange in the bag, but once it brews it turns into a great tea.

Overall, it’s a great tea that I will enjoy many cups of.

Wow! I really REALLY like this one. Way better than I ever imagined it to be. I am usually hesitant when it comes to herbal teas because, well, they’re herbal. But, this is one that I’m kicking myself for not trying sooner. It is really good. Restorative and relaxing to sip. Sweet, creamy and delicious. YUM!

This one always reminds me of root beer for some reason! I wasn’t crazy about it the first time I tried it, but it has grown on me over time and become one of my go-to bedtime teas. I also had fun introducing this one (and several other loose leaf teas) to a friend in Dallas who’s normally a coffee person but has really only experienced grocery store tea bags. Her comment: “So this is why people like tea!” :)

One of my favorites. Both times i recieved it in a tea swap from inkling. thank you! i love it so much. i am not usually into anything that contains mint, but it doesnt overpower the other flavors here, the vanilla adds this delicious sweet creaminess that is truly divine. even if you dont like mint or dont generally like herbals, you just may like this! i just am bummed it contains hyssop because that isnt recommended during pregnancy so i can only have a few sips :/

Our new little gourmet store (imaginatively called Gourmet’s ;) is an allowance trap baited with gadgets and gimcracks and candles and spice mixes and—-what I can’t pass by without stopping—a small but intriguing selection of bulk teas. At $1.39 to, oh, around $2.99 an ounce…one little bag can’t hurt!

This smelled yummy in the jar and came home with me. The dominating flavors are chamomile and vanilla, very sweet without that coating your tongue. (Didn’t pay very close attention to the ingredient list, but I think it is sans licorice, which is all right by me.)

It’s very similar to the Sleepytime Vanilla I brought home recently and enjoyed immensely, just lighter on the mint.

I just love the name of this blend; it paints a beautiful picture in my mind. The actual tea itself is none too beautiful, ahahah. It reminds me of when my vacuum becomes full, and I need to dump out the dust bunnies. I share that not to discourage anyone, but its the truth. The aroma is a strong and sharp mint. I can hint a slight floral undertone. The flavor is consistent with its scent. It begins with a sharp mint freshness and then simmers down with a vanilla and floral flavor. The flavor then continues with a sweet essence. I can hint at various herbs and spices. This a very unique blend and I love how it sticks out rather then fits in with the rest. I am not one for minty teas though.

I didn’t know if I’d like this one, but I think I do. I can pick out the vanilla and spearmint which has a slight cooling effect. I also get a slight lemongrass flavor. It’s been a long time since I have been in Seattle and I don’t know that I paid attention to the sunsets, most likely because I was trying to track down the things that had been stolen out of my van and find my way through the city, but I’ll have to pay more attention next time I visit and think of this tea!

I’m kinda surprised no one else commented on the fact that this is very similar to Evening in Missoula. It is slightly different though. The spearmint perhaps is stronger? I do agree that the vanilla powder is kinda freaky. I kept thinking it was mold but as soon as I opened the bag and the vanilla wafted into my nose and made me sneeze, I knew it was not. IT is good hot but I think it would also be good brewed cold.
