From Golden Moon Tea

Freshly picked green leaves are layered with aromatic jasmine petals, which impart their piquant aroma. When the Tea Master determines the precise moment of flavor perfection, the leaves are fully fired and dried to preserve complexity.

I like jasmine tea and this one’s very good. I thought the jasmine flavor came through well, but was not overwhelmingly perfumey. The vanilla jasmine was better IMO, but this is really nice.

Late night pick me up, courtsey of Golden Moon Teas. The aroma was sweet and the liquor was bright and floral.

Yay, Steepster is finally updating again! Lots of tasting notes to catch up on. Drank this one at work on Monday. I don’t generally care for jasmine, but this one wasn’t bad. The jasmine flavor is natural and not too perfume-like and the green tea is nice and smooth with no bitterness or astringency. Still not something I’d be likely to re-purchase, but I’ll probably finish the sample I have.

I thought I was going to love this since I have two black teas by GM that I like a lot. Sadly, this isn’t a winner for me. It would be okay with food. Daughter liked it okay. Hubby said nope, and left after one cup. The green base is not to our liking. The jasmine was fine as far as the taste and the level of intensity.

Teavivre has too many great jasmine teas for me to fool around with this tin any longer. I will try it as an iced sweet tea so as to not be wasteful.

I have a bad habit of letting my tea oversteep, but I honestly do prefer the resulting astringency. The jasmine tastes appropriate to how the flower smells, and the aroma of the jasmine tea is authentic in comparison to the flower: it smells like a single-blooming Arabian jasmine.

It is not my absolute favorite jasmine green, but it’s a very close second.

A few months back I purchase the Tea Taster’s sampler from Golden Moon – 31 new samples to try – whoo.

There seem to be two jasmine teas in the sampler – jasmine green and jasmine pearls – I’m curious as to whether there’s any difference so I’ll try the pearls tomorrow and compare them.

This one is a pretty basic jasmine green tea. I’m generally not a big fan of jasmine – too often the tea blenders over-do it and it’s super-cloying and ends up tasting like perfume or soap. This one isn’t bad however, as the jasmine is pretty mild. The green tea base is rather uninspired though – it’s nothing special just your very basic green tea.

I adore jasmine tea (hence the screen name), and I am in search of the ultimate one to bribe myself to answer my inbox each working day. This has a nice scent but it’s too bitter for me. I waited about 15 seconds after boiling (instructions say just under boiling, something like that), exactly 1 teaspoon per cup of water (got 2.5 out of the sample), and steeped for about 4 minutes, which is on the long end of the range they recommended. I could try to steep it for 2 minutes, the short end, to tone down the bitterness, but the jasmine wasn’t strong enough to make me buy another sample. Plus, I don’t need that kind of pressure to make a perfect pot. I may not even finish the 2.5 cups I brewed.

This is a delayed post so it will be quite short.
This tea was neither good nor bad. It tasted and smelt to me just as all the other jasmine teas I’ve had did. I’m not a huge fan of Jasmine after being exposed to some teas I like far better but at one point I loved it. For me, there are flavors I like better so this is only an occasional drink.
