The indigenous inhabitants of the Cape of Good Hope have harvested honey Bush Tea for over 300 years. Growing close to the fairest Cape of Good Hope and stretching from the east to west coast in this unspoiled, natural paradise, the Honey Bush plant belongs to the Cyclopia herbal family and is harvested during the spring season. After harvest Honey Bush leaves, stems, and flowers are cut and oxidized naturally. During the fermentation process, Honey Bush cuttings change color from green to dark brown and develop a sweet aroma.

The caffeine free Honey Bush Tea is rich in anti-oxidants and nutrients. It also contains anti-spasmodic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-viral properties. When brewed this tea is naturally sweet, with a pleasant, mild taste. USDA Organic

When it comes to rooibos and honeybush, it has been my experience that Organic just tastes better. I do not like the flavor of unflavored rooibos at all, however, organic unflavored rooibos I like just fine. And while I like the flavor of conventionally grown honeybush OK, I prefer it organic.

This is a very good quality honeybush as evidenced by the flavor: mild, honey sweetness, with light nutty and woody tones. Very pleasant. Smooth. A nice cup with which to relax!

And yes…that is how it’s labeled on my sampler tin…Organic Honey Bush Tea. :)

This infuses VERY dark…much like a black tea would…a dark bold brown. Probably one of the darker – if not the darkest – honeybush I have had.

This has a very clean smell…with slight sweetness underneath! The taste is very clean, too…and sweet with a smooth feel and pleasant aftertaste.

As far as Plain Honeybush goes…this is very good!
