There is definitely not as much coconut in my leaves as I expect, or as what other people got in theirs.
The dry leaves smell delicious, sweet, chocolate & nutty.
It’s chocolaty & a bit nutty, reminds me some what of S&V Almond sugar cookie, but without that stale taste.
I was definitely hoping for coconut, but it’s still mighty tasty. Bakey, chocolate cookie goodness!
Ermahgerd, thanks Meowkattack for this lovely sample. It’s delightful. And I’ve been wanting to tell you guys that I thought so, but Steepster was down this morning! Anyway, Coconut and almond are like my favorite flavors together. Maybe. This local shop has a blend called Sparkle Black that is a wonderful coconut almond tea. Smells amazingly sweet. Decided to brew this one up to bring with me to my morning class…it was a good call. The dark chocolate…so much more prominent than I expected. It’s like candy. I just sat there holding my cup and inhaling and everyone probably thought I was a freak, haha. I would definitely buy this in the future.
I got a really nice Secret Pumpkin package from BrewTEAlly Sweet yesterday, even though I hadn’t signed up because I’m so busy right now! She’s the sweetest!!!
Anyway, this is one of the tea samples she included. Sounds right up my alley as I love coconut AND almond! Oddly enough, I’m finding this one a little fakey, and the flavoring a tad too strong. I think it might be the chocolate flavoring? Anyway, it is drinkable for sure, just not my favorite. Might be nice as a latte :)
I like chocolate teas, a lot, and I love almond and amaretto anything, so assuming I’m at least partially ok with coconut, it stands to reason that this is a tea I should like. Well folks reason doesn’t fail me.
I the sample pouch from shmiracles I got recently, it smells like chocolatey almondy divinity. Brewed it is a bit more subdued, but still there. I do have it sweetened with a small amount of sugar, but no milk, since I’m out…but this was one I had a feeling would be ok without, but probably amazing with (luckily, I have more of the sample).
If we end up doing a Della Terra co-op order, this is one I will consider adding. It’s pretty good.

I don’t know what it is, but there’s something about this that I’m not keen on. Maybe it’s the almond? Something lurking behind the chocolate coconut. Yeah, it’s probably the almond.

i mean, i guess since it said chocolate first it would be chocolaty-er.
it’s a good cup!! but maybe just not as tea dark and chocolate dark as i would have liked. maybe i’ll brew a second cup right now with a longer steep. that’s probably all it needs.
That is one of my 17 sample i ordered from Della Terra Teas ( ya 17 lol but hey 17 for 30$ with free shipping can hardly do better than that even more if you are from Canada Thanks Della Terra Teas for the good deal ) I try this as a iced tea first ( Thank DaisyChubb for answering all my question :)) i can’t say it’s bad iced it’s just weird at first ( maybe not the good choice to try iced ) the more i drink it the more i begin to discern all the different taste like chocolate and coconut not bad after all will try it hot ( even if i don’t drink hot black i did bought it for a reason )
Updates : Hot cup right now 4 minute steep since it’s the resteep from my iced tea try a little bitter ( but i find all black tea kinda bitter ) but not much probably from the first steep taste way less than the iced tea should probably have steep it around 5:30 minute once it begin to cool the coconut flavour begin to appear more and some chocolate the almond taste in both version are kinda absent probably hiding behind the coconut

Thus far Della Terra hasn’t been too exceptional to me. The teas are good, but nothing amazing. I’m hoping this one will be amazing since I love coconut.
Mmm. This one has a flavour I wasn’t expecting. It’s reminding me of Lucky Charms. That’s always good though!
Now I shall enjoy a toasted open-face cucumber sandwich with my Lucky Charms tea while I read yet another psych journal article.
Update: Resteep is alright, definitely less flavourful.
1.5 tablespoons for 375ml
Almond beverage flavour in the background close to the end of the sip. Dark cocoa notes. Very slight creaminess. I’m not tasting any coconut. This one may have lost flavour in transit.
