Really did not enjoy. I expected it to taste like a gingerbread vanilla cookie, but it was FAR too fruity. The pineapple (i think) overpowered all the ginger.

G is for… Gingerbread Blondie!

I had a lot more fun with my “G” teas than I had expected to – before looking through my cupboard to see what teas might fit the day, I expected there to just be a lot of ginger/gingerbread teas – and yes that was true, but there were some other very fun teas and blends I’d forgotten about!

In the end, this was the only Gingerbread that I ended up steeping up and I actually loved this mug!! It was so much more buttery/vanilla and pastry than I had remembered it tasting in the past – definitely still pops of fruitiness from the apple in the blend and a bit from the pineapple, with a top/bright sweetness from all the candied fruit but after each sip and that wave it high notes it was like the profile shifted gears into this more indulgent and pastry inspired vanilla biscuit flavour, with the ginger heat and tickle rounding out that sip. It was much, much nicer than I remembered.

Friendly reminder that I do not numerically rate DAVIDsTEA blends as I’m currently employed there and it would be an obvious conflict of interest. Any blends you see with numerical ratings were rated prior to my employment there. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts and feelings regarding the teas, and not the company’s.

Evol Ving Ness

Funny, some of my do’s blends have aged really wee and taste much better than I remember.

Evol Ving Ness

Bloody autocorrect.

TeaEarleGreyHot

Really wee, lol! Yes, sometimes the angels take more than their “share”. But then, less is more!

TeaEarleGreyHot

(And, yes, autoincorrect can be a nuisance)

But “do’s” there? I’m drawing a blank on that one for autocorrect. :D

I ran in to DAVIDs to see the new teaware (which I already puchased online because I have no self control) and this was the tea of the day. I would have really enjoyed its gingerbread flavor but for the overly sweet blackberry leaf. As such, this was a miss for me. It does have a nice ginger/gingerbread flavor though if you dont mind the sweetness.
