The first sip of this tea reminded me of American Tea Room sarsaparilla rooibos, which I absolutely hated. However, once it cooled down, the taste shifted for me. Now the flavor reminds me of a snickerdoodle cookie. It’s pretty tasty! I have only a sample from Cameron B, but I could see myself drinking this again.
I placed two orders to stock up on sale Matchas online and got two samples of Horchacha. I decided to add both together to make a small latte. Man, is this ever delicious! My tastes buds were awoken at first sip! It was incredibly sweet, so I probably shouldn’t have added any agave but I still fully enjoyed my sample. I found it tasted like sweet cinnamon rolls. I so have to go place another order now for some more………

With less than 24 hours before I leave Saskatchewan, though, I’m doubting whether or not I’ll have the bag finished off in time. It’s probably going to wind up in my carry on luggage…
This particular cup was an eggnog latte because, after two weeks of trying to find Eggnog at grocery stores in town, I FINALLY found a carton of it! Not surprisingly, to me at least, this makes for a completely DELIGHTFUL eggnog latte! The cinnamon and custard-y notes in the tea are already a perfect compliment to the taste of the sweet, custardy eggnog. The rice notes are very subtle against that almost extreme creamy vanilla/custard/spice profile but they are definitely there. It also has that beautiful rum sort of note that the tea has, and of course we should all know that the best spirit to spike your eggnog with is rum – so it just works. Beautifully.

I found it and then accidentally ordered 3 liters and they all expire December 4, so eggnog lattes are a thing right now lol
Oh – random question for you but… Any recommendations for where to grocery shop in Montreal for just general stuff and not specialty items? I looked it up and it looks like I’m pretty close to an IGA Extra so that’s where I’m leaning right now? I think they also do grocery delivery, which would be a win for me. Any tips/recommendations? Or experience with grocery delivery services in MTL?
Yeah, I couldn’t find any eggnog in the store I was in the day before Thanksgiving! That is BS.
I used to shop at Provigo which is Loblaws but in Quebec. IGA is also good and there is definitely grocery delivery because I used to use it. You can either order online for a fee (though I think the fee was waived if you bought more than $80) or when you buy groceries in store, you can ask to have them delivered.
