From DAVIDsTEA

The ultimate pick-me-up

So the Italian grandma we consulted explained that tiramisu means “pick me up”, because the coffee, chocolate and sugar give you such a nice boost. That makes sense. Except that heavy cakes are usually, well, heavy. Our rooibos tea on the other hand gives you the rush of chocolate, coffee beans, toffee, caramel and creamy yoghurt, with none of their caloric side effects. Che magnifico!

So, sometimes you just have to take the basket of bits-and-bops pouches and just empty it out on the floor or table to see what’s there … and when you do, you find wonderful and lovely surprises like this.

With half-and-half, this is creamy and sweet and good. If I had any self-control whatsoever, it would be sufficient for dessert without any dessert. (But when your son puts three birthday cake Oreos directly in your hand…)

Both the aroma and the taste of this tea uncannily are exactly like a real, rich, sopping Tiramisu. It’s got a lovely chocolately taste with the overtones of coffee and cream you would find in a dessert.

This is a dessert tea that I would say has a BIG taste! It’s ebullient and has a succulent, sweet taste. One could certainly add sugar and milk. I ultimately added about 1/3 teaspoon of sugar (a very small amount) and I thought it made the Tiramisu taste and aroma even more deliciously pronounced. The miraculous thing about this tea is I felt as if I had consumed a heavy 600 calorie dessert—very satisfied and filled. Indeed, if I could close my eyes I would think I were at one of those spectacular trattoria in Roma or Firenze!

I have to give David’s Tea great kudos (or is it kudoes?) and compliments. Their customer service is excellent and speedy. I should also note that I am not affiliated with any tea company or with any mail delivery service. I’m a simple English teacher who reads, grades papers, and prepared lectures to the constant accompaniment of tea. This will be a definite re-order for me.

I’m not a grammar person (they’d revoke my card and laugh at me if I tried to say I was) but I think it’s kudos. :)

Cofftea

Kudos, I only know that because it’s also a candy bar lol:)

LENA

this tea sounds very yummy.

I remember those kudos bars, they were dubbed as “granola” if I remember correctly. I am dying to try this tea!

Though I used to not be a huge fan of Rooibos, I decided to give the Tiramisu flavour a shot. And my thoughts? I absolutely love it!! It has a hint of sweetness that brings out its delicious flavours. This blend has got me into rooibos too, and it’s practically all I drink lately. You could say it was my “gateway” into the amazing tisane. I love drinking this in the evening when I feel like something sweet with no caffeine.

Just smelling the beautiful blend from David’s Tea was enough to get me sucked in. As a fan of tiramisu, I figured I had to try the tisane, and it was definitely worth the trial.

I highly recommend this tisane for Rooibos and non-Rooibos lovers alike!

I got a tiramisu blend set from David’s a little while ago, achieved by mixing equal parts Coffee Pu’erh and Birthday Cake Rooibos. I’m not sure how it compares to the actual tiramisu flavoured tea, but it was delightfully creamy with lots of coffee and vanilla flavour, and somehow a hint of chocolate – in all, a pretty decent approximation of tiramisu. If you missed out on Tiramisu Rooibos, both of the other teas are currently available in shop

Mmm a rooibos that I like to treat like a black tea… With milk.
But none of the caffeine!!! Great when I want a nice warm cuppa :)
Naturally a little sweet, with chocolate and coffee notes.

I wasn’t initially a fan of this tea but after trying it with a bit of honey and milk, it became one of my favourite teas to drink with milk. I wish David’s Tea would bring it back.
