Hoo ha! Sharp! Amazing lemon scent with hot ginger undertones. Delicious and soothing ginger heat to the mouthfeel and swallow. Have tried many lemon ginger teas before and been bored. This one uses a decent green base, not too assertive, and some smooooooth ginger and lemon. Three ingredients: organic green tea, organic ginger root, natural essential lemon oil. I bet Electric Lemon would be fabulous on a bitter cold morning or when fighting off a head cold, stomach bug or (shudder) flu.

I gave it a longish steep for a green and did not add any sweetener.

Ooops … got this as a sample with an oder of Christmas gifts. Used 1TB to 10oz water.

I’m in the midst of a very taxing piece of work and the winter collection is going to be my Good Job reward once I’m done. Thanks for the review!

I got a sample of the Chocolate Chili Chai, too, and I a saving that for a good stopping point in the story I’m drafting. My incentive. And it’s not even a carrot.

Seriously, Heather, I think using good tea as a reward after work gets done is a brilliant idea. That could definitely help me focus. Thanks for mentioning it.

This cup of tea has one job and one job only: to kick my cold’s BUTT. I thought (two weeks ago) that I was getting sick, but my body saved it all up for after the wedding/first day at the new job. So, electric lemon, please make it go away, or at least numb my throat to the pain it’s currently feeling. I hope that you and detox, with a small supporting crew can make me well, double quick.

As for the taste, I’m not the best judge today, so I’ll leave it where I last rated it. I could have steeped this longer, but the beau is sharing and he is leery of an over-strong ginger taste. Oh well!

It’s a drowsy Monday afternoon, I figured I would give this tea a shot. Surprisingly, this has woken me up from my near coma state.

I have tried several lemon ginger teas and was never really fond of them, however this one was pretty drinkable!
Upon opening the package, I caught a pungent lemon scent that my friend informed me smelled like “Lemon Pinesol” (I’m not so sure about that!). When steeped, the warm, earthy, ginger flavor is boosted by a fresh lemon undertone, and finishes with a wonderful bite. It seems to me the tea features the ginger more than the lemon.

For this tea I did not add any sweeteners, and I gave it an average steep. But in the midst of trying to stay awake, I accidently steeped at a warmer temperature. It was still a pleasant experience, but I am curious how the flavors complement one another when I steep it like David’s intended :)

How I love you, Electric Lemon!

You make my life so much better by:
¤ Reminding me of my childhood with your yellow lollipop scent
¤ Waking me up when I’m feeling “blah”
¤ Giving my taste buds a unique thrill
¤ Converting my tea-hating girlfriend to an Electric Lemon drinker (it’s a start!)
¤ Kicking the ass out of any sore throat, cold or congestion that has dared to cross my path

Now if only you had the power to regenerate so that I didn’t feel like the end of the world is that much closer everytime I have a pot…

Wow! I really didn’t have any expectations for this tea, but is it EVER good! Great lemony-ness without being too sour. A delicious surprise!

Needed something to pick me up this afternoon, so zingy Electric Lemon it is!
I followed the instructions and brewed it at 82 degrees, but that always throws me off, because I’m used to letting my tea sit before I drink it, and if I let this sit it becomes too cold to drink!
I think I’m getting sick~ (I’m a little sniffy, anyways), so this lemon green tea with lemon honey in it should absolutely do the trick.
Smells good (not like NeoCitran) and lemony, obviously. Brews up a really nice almost tan colour. Like a sage olivey beige. I wouldn’t mind having some egyptian cotton sheets this colour.
I always forget there’s ginger in here until I taste it. You can’t really smell it, but when you sip, it just bites the sides of your tongue! Nice and warming. Like a hot water bottle for my mouth.
But tastier than a hot water bottle, of course.
Yum!

I really like this blend. I keep meaning to buy another bit to save for the next head cold.

Wrong name; this tea should have been called Electric Ginger! Sure, there’s a lemony taste somewhere (not tart at all though), but it’s intensely gingery. And the more you steep it, the more the ginger takes the whole place. I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, but I was expecting something powerfully lemony. I like ginger and ginger teas in general, so I found it quite nice overall. However, it is hardly very different from many other ginger teas I’ve had. The green tea behind the ginger taste is there, though I had to concentrate a bit to find it, and does taste very nice.

Lemon and ginger, what is there not to love here. When this came out last year I gave it the nickname Lemon Halls. Been fighting off a cold and the other go to teas were not helping. Tried it today and it worked wonders. Hopefully it will come back at some point…

From my tea calendar.

Not for me. This tea smells great, but I have to accept that I don’t like ginger teas. I want to, because drinking fresh ginger tea has brought me back from the brink of many colds, but I hate the taste of ginger in things other than cookies, I guess.

The lemon is nice, the green base is nice. It smells amazingly lemony and I get that when I drink it too, but I’m distracted by the ginger. If you like these two flavours, certainly try this tea as it seems like a nice one if you’re not me!

Wowza this tea is deee-luxe! I’m not a big green tea fan so I was taking a chance in purchasing this tea and I’m so pleased I did! This tea is the perfect breakfast tea instead of coffee. It wakes me up with jolting flavours of lemon and ginger and a bit of caffeine from the tea! I’m completely and utterly in love with this tea. I cannot live without it.
