Wow, I wasn’t sure what to expect with this one, but I really like it! It’s a little like Stormy Night, but it lacks the black tea and coconut-ness of it. It’s a bit weird unsweetened since you definitely taste the slightly vegetal green tea, but once I added a bit of sweetener, it was a nice, spicey mix – definitely lots of yummy cinnamon. I’m not getting much chocolate, maybe a hint of cocoa? I think the rest of this is going to be sticking around in my cupboard (sorry future tea traveler peeps)!

This one is nicely done. Most certainly chocolate and green tea with a hint of cinnamon. I enjoyed this.

I wouldn’t necessarily re-order, only because Cocoa Canela is similar and the mate seems to work a little better with the chocolate than does the green tea. Overall a tasty tea.

So I was going through my swap bin and I found a huge envelope I got from ashleyef and bam! all kinds of DAVIDsTEA and some fall yummies to keep me happy until the Traveling tea box:) (Does a happy dance)
Hmmmmm. So I had a hard 2 steepings of this. Both times I forgot about it and they steeped for farrrrrrrrr toooooooo long. Ridiculously way too long, due to cooking and homework. So, third time is a charm right? I got the steep just right, but unfortunately this tea let me down by the name. Maybe it has something to do with not really liking rooibos. I couldn’t find the chocolate at all. Just cinnamon. Aw man! Thank you for the sample!

So the name of this tea of course got me, I had to try it! This is my first time having a bit of green rooibos, plus I don’t drink very much green tea because I just haven’t gotten into it yet. The smell was not what I was expecting at all it was sort of fruity but almost in the over-ripened stage. There was also a hint of cinnamon but I did not smell chocolate at all!

The liquor was a pale almost golden orange color really pretty and the brewed leaves were really interesting because it had the rooibos leaves and then the green tea leaves and it was really pretty.

The smell of the tea was still the same if not a bit stronger… I was not sure if I could actually drink it… the smell was very off putting to me. But because the name had chocolate in it I had to at least try it. The first sip was very sweet, much sweeter than i thought it would be. There was a fruity/vegetal taste and then there was the sweetness of cinnamon. But where is the chocolate?

After letting it cool, it is still very sweet with some fruitiness… i can’t really place the smell or the taste. There is some creaminess which I think is the chocolate as well a bit of the sweetness is from the chocolate but there is not much of a chocolate taste that I can tell… I have read that this tea varies quite a bit so maybe this pouch was more fruity than chocolaty. I don’t think that I will buy more of this though it just wasn’t quite what I wanted.

I didn’t really believe that this was going to be a chocolate-flavoured tea. My brain just said that it wasn’t possible. So I guess I’m not super disappointed that there was only the slightest hint of chocolate in my tea. The main thing I noticed was the bitterness of the green tea. What is with me and green tea??? I just cannot get the timing right to avoid messing everything up! I did get the cinnamon notes which was really nice.

I’m going to have to try this again before I give it a rating. And maybe drink it sometime other than right after dinner when I would much rather have real chocolate LOL

I really enjoyed this tea:) It’s not mind blowingly amazing but it’s still good. You know what it reminds me of? Apple turnovers and pie…but I don’t think there is ANY apple in it, haha! I could taste a little chocolate and a soft bit of cinnamon (not as strong as Cinnamon Roll HB by 52teas) but very pleasant. I couldn’t really taste the green tea…but then again I wasn’t really drinking it for that part, lol. I steeped about 1tsp worth 0 that’s all I had…for 4 minutes and couldn’t really taste any of the chocolate so I put it back in for another 4 minutes…and yum!
I just may purchase some in the future. Woo!

Sipdown! Ok, for a tea that I don’t particularly love, I went through my 50g pack awfully fast. Maybe I liked it more than I realized? Hmmm….

Truthfully, it’s mainly because I find this tea is so darn mild that I kept mixing it with other chocolate teas in order to extend the dwindling leaves I had left of those preferred flavors. And it made a spectacular compliment to DT’s mint chocolate rooibus, so I drank several cups that way!

My personal goal is to never let my tea supply reach over 30 loose leaf teas at a time. And since I placed two orders yesterday and I’m planning a trip to David’s Tea this weekend, I’m desperately drinking as much as humanly possible to clear out some space. So yay to finishing this one off.

This is one of the teas that… I think was misnamed. I see that there are cocoa nibs in it, but the primary taste for me the first steep was that of the cinnamon, and the flavour of the next two was oddly reminiscent of marshmallow….

That being said, I quite enjoyed the tea…. it just wasn’t as chocolatey as the name suggested it might be.

It took me a long time to determine what this tea smelled and tasted like but when I figured it out, every time I take a sip, I cannot stop thinking about Winter and Christmas.

It just smells like the season I suppose. It’s a really tasty tea that smells just as good as it tastes. It has a hint of coco taste and the cinnamon, while prominent is not over powering. Great tea.

Continuing this weekend’s tea-tasting odyssey, I finally pulled this Super Chocolate off the wall to try it out, inadvertently continuing my rooibos theme.

I am . . . undecided. I would say this is closer to a rooibos than a green. It’s very sweet, and the chocolate taste is lost under the cinnamon. Since I’m not a fan of cinnamon, it’s very off-putting. I don’t think I’ll seek this out again.
