Are you in desperate need of a little pick-me-up? Then this looks like a job for Superberry. It’s a sweet and fruity blend of black tea, juniper berries, blueberries and açai powder. There’s a lot of buzz going around about açai berries, a so-called South American “superfruit.” But unlike most health food, these actually taste amazing. All in all, they make for a delicious tea that will pep you up faster than a speeding bullet.

I’m a little surprised there’s no other reviews here.

So, yesterday/this morning I had a horrible no good very bad migraine. I couldn’t keep anything down, which unfortunately included tea, and even more unfortunately medicine.

So. Yeah. Good times.

This guy probably steeped in the fridge aaaaaalmost 48 hours as a result. I really think it benefited richly from this long steep. The result from it is probably the first DavidsTea that I’d consider purchasing.

The juniper flavor comes through really well. It’s this not-quite-blueberry-but-still-purple-tasting berry that I really like (gin drinker here). It’s also one of the few I actually get the true flavor of acai in! It has a subtle berry sweetness, but undertones of cocoa.

The tea base doesn’t come through until the end of the sip, and if it weren’t for that, I probably would have guessed I was drinking juice. And I mean that in a good way. It’s just really richly berried and oh so refreshing. This would be a great addition to my summer iced teas (if I needed any additions to my summer iced teas…).

This was a surprise extra in a trade with jessiwrites and if my excel spreadsheet is right Shmiracles sent me some as well. So, thanks both of you. I really like it!

Iced 8 min or more

awesome… you keep track of it all in excel? i keep track of it in cardboard boxes!

Yeah! I use it as a personal archive of ratings (because sometimes it’s easier to pull it up there then hunt it down on here) and keep track of trades so I so if/when I send things out and to whom. :D

that makes good’re far more organized than i am! my boxes are all over… so when i have one last bit of a blend left i’m sure i seem a bit like a nut as i dig through boxes and move between the rooms.

Ahhhh. This would explain a lot :)

This tea was pretty good, but kind of a cross between blueberry jam and the earl’s garden without the bergamot. I’d rather have those than this, so this one is out. I don’t like the acai powder in this, it gives it a bit of a chalky texture, just like the new cocoberry tea.

I bought it because it smells great but when I got it home and brewed it it was disappointing. It’s more astringent than you expect and it’s more bitter than sweet. You need to add a bit of sugar to get the berry taste and since I prefer not to add sugar that’s a real let down. I like blueberry jam better so I’ll be sticking with that one.

I got this iced today in store.

So surprisingly good. I was expecting it to come out quite bitter, but it was delicious. Full of berry. A little dirt-y from the juniper berries, but I think that would be resolved with a cold steep.

Definitely a tea to keep in mind for summer. If I ever drink my way out of this pile of samples! :)

It’s great cold steeped!

I definitely got it because of your note! :)

I didn’t think I would actually get this tea until the salesperson recommended it to me. It smells heavenly and it’s really easy to drink (if that made any sense). Definitely a pick-me-up tea.
