I have enough left for one more cup, and I think I will be waiting until this sinus cold is done and over with because I made a cup of this last night and oh crap! It smelled like wet dog and tasted like soap! I know I did not over steep and there was not enough lavender in this tea for it to taste like soap!

STUPID Fall Cold!! I loathe you!!

Another mystery tea! I can’t figure out if I like it or not. I don’t dislike it, I do know that. I like the berry and the current and the rooibos all blending together, but I almost want more current flavour . . . it needs raisins. To me that’s what is missing, that raisin flavour. Maybe I’m crazy, but I think that’d make this tea amazing. Not rating yet . . . we’ll see what a second cup brings first.

what a fragrant tea- such a melange of exuberant aroma’s. My parcel of tea came with an abundance of lavender petals and black current. When brewed the profound scent of rose leaves, lavender and blueberries, encapsulate my room- This tea is enchanting, i am simply bemused by the taste- : )

I was down at the Bleecker street Davids today, and my friend bought a cup of something. Today is my friends birthday, so we went down to The Village to get some lunch, and afterwards got some ABSAFUCKINLUTELY amazing hot chocolate at a place called Grom. After basically drinking melted chocolate, I kind of wanted something light. So I got a cup of this.

I haven’t had much of Davids Rooibos blends since I had Super Ginger and found the rooibos flavor rather weak. Therefore, I was a bit hesitant to try this, and was in fact gravitating towards Brazillionaire or Buttered Rum, two that I had tried before and like, but definitely not loved. I was very pleasantly surprised. I had this with agave, because, like, sweetness is good. Then I didn’t drink any until after I got out of the D train – the walk up sixth ave, from Bleecker to 8th, and then a 6 minute train ride, after saying goodbye to one of my friends. So I guess it was in there for about 20 minutes. When I finally took a sip on the walk to Grand Central Terminal, my first reaction was “oh wow.” Because it was strong and flavorful and wondrous, and I started kicking myself for not having tried it before. The lavender is present but not perfumey, and the berry-ish flavour really pops. The rooibos itself seems to be good quality and strong, something I love. I can’t wait to get some of this for my home!

amazing development! i didn’t hate it!
it must be that currants and blueberry compliment rooibos more than other flavors usually do. ??
i’m not going to buy more or anything, but at least i don’t feel like i have to start hatching a plan for how i’m gonna give the stuff away.
sweet dreams.

I stopped in today while I was in the mall for a course and knew I wanted something iced as it was EXTREMELY hot out today! It wasn’t busy at all so I had time to speak with the staff and asked for a recommendation as now that I have tried so many, it gets hard to pick something new every time. The guy that was working is there all the time and is usually really good. He recommended this tea and Blood Orange Pu’erh (which another staff member told me about last week so I will definitely try next time!)…The dry smell is a bit strange to be totally honest. I found it to be a strange blend of floral and herbal which didn’t really mix for me. The taste is quite similar and is what you would expect from the smell. The fruit comes across very bitter and the floral is a bit overwhelming. To me, all the strong flavours such as the blueberry, currants and lavender were all competing to be at the forefront. The flavours really needed to be more "layered’ so that each one could have a chance to shine and even help to showcase the others. I am glad I tried this one as I have been eying it for a while and have heard a lot about it from the staff there. I don’t think I would try it iced again but I would definitely be willing to try it warm. I won’t be buying any of this one though.

This is smooth, delicate, and sweet

2nd steep: a little earthy from the rooibos but still very good. I steeped it for probably 10 or more minutes

I am liking floral teas more and more, and I was worried about the lavender but I do really like it. It makes me feel dainty drinking it!

This tea keeps popping on my list to try, but for a couple trips it never made it home – as I went with something more “spur of the moment”.
But I always wanted to try it as it is up my alley on fruity, floral teas I like. But I’d chicken out on it because of the rooibos and lavender.

Dry leaves – fruity smell with something not fruity.. lavender? Not soapy, I dunno what the smell is. Looks like I didn’t get much in rose petals, poooooo!

The tea steeps a brillant amber red orange, very nice. The smell is fruity and floral. I love the smell!

Taste – mild hit of lavender, more of an essence of it verses the sleepy-time essential oil. A bit of sweetness. Theres a taste of tartness on the throat, I’m thinking its the rosehips or the currants. The rooibos goes well with the lavender and fruit rounding out the flavour. I find I can taste the blueberry and how well it goes with the lavender! There is a lot of things going on with this tea – I agree it is sophisticated! Slight floral notes in this cup, but it didn’t look like I got much in rose petals.

So, I find the lavender in this tea much more mild that DAVIDsTea’s “Jessies Tea”. There is alot of flavours and smells going on that the lavender is a blended role. I would try this over Jessie’s Tea if you want to venture into lavender territory. If you like unique and sophisticated teas don’t miss out!

For me – I’m undecided whether the tartness is being a deal breaker, but I really like that blueberry fruity mix with lavender. I could see this cup being more wicked with some more rose in it. I think I need to drink more of it to see if I would buy more or not. Either way, it’s interesting and a good rooibos tea.

I’ve been enjoying this tea iced recently. It’s so flavourful, without being too heavy on the rooibos or on the fruit. It’s definitely one of my favourites to have iced!

My absolute favorite rooibos. It’s so good. It’s fruity, like cassis and blueberries, but there isn’t any sourness. And you then you have a bit of a lavender after taste. It’s really a soothing blend I think. And it smells gorgeous!!! I enjoy closing my eyes and smelling it :) Will doing my homeworks at night :(

A gorgeous tea, but not everyone’s favorite, maybe because of the smell of the lavender, but I like things different and usually my tastes aren’t the same as most of my David’s tea clients. But you should try it!!!
