This review is brought to you by VariaTEA’s tasting note, which encouraged me to find my packet of this and try it again! The packet was open, so I’ve had this at least once before, but had zero memory of it. Odds are, I drank it at work, where I drank plenty of tea and almost always had no recollection of it, because work is very all-encompassing.

Anyways, I was skeptical that I’d enjoy it as much as she did, as I generally don’t care for honeybush, but…. holy crap. This was one of those few times where I actually tasted creamy pudding flavours, verging on cheesecakey, which was, frankly, amazing. Combined with some really delicious fruitiness (it tasted to me like a raspberry-heavy berry blend, which obviously makes sense), it was actually really incredible. I had a trifle, that I enjoyed, for the first time this fall, and it definitely reminded me of it (it was mixed berry – strawberry/raspberry/blueberry/blackberry). One of my friends recently requested to try a HB/rooibos blend that I really liked, as she was curious to try a good one, but I was at a loss for what to give her – I need to earmark this one for her to try!

I NEED MOAR!!!! Also I am glad you loved it too because I was the only review and it made me worried that I was just excited about a new tea and it wasn’t actually that good.

I think I also need more. This was surprisingly good.

Sipdown (273)

I was trying to think of caffeine free blends that I have in large enough amounts to make as an eggnog latte. A lot of my caffeine free blends have hibiscus so I don’t want to risk curdling but this tea came to mind. As soon as I opened the package I was hit with this amazing smell of tart berries and cream. It should be a candle. It honestly is smells soooo good. So I made it as an eggnog latte and plain to see how it tastes on its own. That used up my entire package of this tea.

Now I am sad because I actually REALLY like this. Like a lot. The plain tea is not as pungent in flavor as it is in scent but that isn’t to say it isn’t flavorful. This is delicious berries and cream through and through. It’s awesome. I. Want. MOAR!

Awesome eggnog latte too but because it makes it almost cream cheesy. Like a berry cheesecake or cheesecake with a blueberry/raspberry coulie on top.

Honestly I am a fan. And I think it is best plain so that’s how I recommend it. And I DO recommend it.
