There really is a lot going on here with this herbal tisane. I could smell an herbally, licorice, lemon smell right away and that was prior to the steep. It grew strong as it infused. I could see most if not all of the ingredients. Afterwards I could smell and taste the Fennel, licorice, orange/lemon, peppermint, and anise. There was a natural spice to it and a little bit of an herbal taste or medicinal taste but then the peppermint and citrus flavors cut it well for me.
This ended up tasting better than I thought it would. I think I actually prefer it iced or cold than hot. I would have it again but not the first one I would pick off the shelf for myshelf, usually.

I haven’t even tasted this one, I can’t get over the awful smell! Then again I don’t like herbal teas like this. I don’t like licorice or fennel or anise..eww to all of them. Heh. I just got Shanti, it’s apart of the Ayruvedic line that I just got. Your the first person to try it since I’ve had it.
Daniel…the smell kind of scared me but the taste was different than the aroma lead me to believe…it was “OK”, actually…I would say the Licorice was the more IN YO FACE flavor tho…
Oh my — I hope that this isn’t one of the samples I received cuz quite a few of those ingredients evoke a gag reflex in me. Licorice ::shudders::
I guess I will ‘try’ to taste it. I’ve tasted all my other teas but this one and the OM. I’ve never liked licorice, that might be why I don’t like the smell too much.
I don’t think I sent this one to you Rabs. I usually don’t recommend it unless someone asks to taste it. The Ayruvedic teas have not been as popular as I thought they would and I probably will not reorder them.

im so glad to see i’m not the only one with licorice issues ;)
Daniel…have you ‘pushed’ them to the Yoga outlets specifically!? Or done any advertising in the Yoga Magazines, etc!?
