drank White Nectarine by DAVIDsTEA

A friend of mine passed on nearly two ounces of this after deciding she didn’t like it. I was intrigued with the flavor but unwilling to spend $$$ on a flavored white, so this worked out in my favor.

The nectarine flavor really isn’t that nectarine-ish. It’s more of a crisp, juicy peach. Very natural and refreshing. It’s strong and lasted several steeps. If it wasn’t so pricey, I would have bought some for myself.

drank Milk Caramel by Lupicia

A very pleasant surprise. Never should have doubted Lupicia.

Milk Caramel isn’t sweet, but it’s this gorgeous toasty caramelized flavor that instantly warms you up. It’s delicious iced as well. I can only imagine how good it would taste sweetened.

I was really disappointed with this tea. The scent is an on-point bing cherry, but the flavor can only be equated to warmed pool water. No cherry, no almond, mainly a heavily diluted honey. I gave away my box. Should have gotten Caramel Peach.

drank Coconut Ice by DAVIDsTEA

Definitely could be better.

The tea tastes more like straight up dried coconut than ice cream, and there’s no sweetness to it at all. The tea also didn’t last more than one steep. Thankfully a nice person gifted me a sample, because I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy it.

Included in my 5 for $5 sampler, as I attempt to broaden my horizons past flavored tea and tisanes.

My first thought: oh, a vintage. I followed the brew instructions but was unsure about the very, VERY earthy scent. Sure enough, the flavor was equally earthy, not neccessarily in the best way. Perhaps my palate is not refined enough. Either way, I get the appeal but won’t be reordering.

drank S'mores Oolong Tea by Teavana

Not necessarily smores, but a decent flavored tea nonetheless.

I’d put this more as a chocolate-flavored chai than anything else, with a hint of creaminess from the white chocolate pieces. It’s indulgent, and a bit of half & half turns it into an insane latte. I picked this up for 75% off, which made it a very worthwhile purchase.

Out of my 25-flavor Tea Forte tasting chest, this one was my favorite. It’s a mounds bar in a cup. The coconut tastes real, the chocolate is rich without the watery flavor of other chocolate teas… just excellence all around.

Dreadful. Absolutely dreadful.

This tea had everything wrong. The colada flavor was horribly artificial and metallic, the coconut was perfumy, and a weird tang permeated the entire flavor. Never again.
