Still on the hunt for an alternative to Teavana’s Zingiber Ginger in case it gets retired. This has a nice coconut/rooibos flavor, but there’s also a little extra something that smells weird to me. Can’t place it, & can’t really taste it but I smell it in both the dry leaves & brewed tea. I prefer to mix this with a rooibos/chai blend as well for more depth.

I had high hopes for this tea since I’d been reading a lot of hype about it & I love chocolate. You can smell the chocolate in the dry leaves, but I didn’t really taste it. I needed cream & sweetener to get through this straight; it had too much of a heavy/overpowering black tea taste to me. I mix this w/chai now to lessen the harsh black tea flavor.

ETA: Mixed it with my 52Teas Mint Chocolate Honeybush & enjoying both much better! Still not tasting much chocolate, but the honeybush is balancing the overpowering black tea taste I was getting from straight Florence. Raising the rating.

I wanted to try something different from Teavana’s Cacao Mint Black, & I really like this Harney & Sons alternative. Nice chocolate/mint pairing, lot of body but it wasn’t overpowering to me like I found Florence to be.

drank Snow Dragon by Harney & Sons

I bought this more on a whim to qualify for free shipping than because I was really interested in it. Wow! I used to think I didn’t like floral anything teas, but the floral scent/taste is lovely. I find it light in the mouth & the floral taste to me isn’t overpowering (husband thought it was much stronger). Very pleasantly surprised.

drank Citron Green by Harney & Sons

I can see why they recommend this as a “starter” green, as the citrus tang is pretty strong. It’s got a nice citrus/orange smell, but I found the taste to be just a bit too tart/tangy for me overall. Prefer to blend with another straight green to even it out.

After getting sick for the third time within about a three-month period I decided to try and drown it out with tea. I never liked tea growing up, but in my early twenties my taste buds had finally changed enough to find the flavors.

Started with flavored blacks from Teavana (gasp), and now am primarily a white/green tea drinker. I’ve recently fallen in love with matcha.

I love teapots, tea cups, and tea sets, but mainly use my Timolino or Contigo travel mugs because they’re leak-proof and hold the heat for so long! Drinking a cup of tea before it gets cold usually doesn’t happen as I set it down and get distracted with something else only to return to it when it’s (if I’m lucky) lukewarm.
