103 Tasting Notes
Thanks, Cavo! This brings back memories, though I haven’t actively read and written Destiel since 2010, it was my first SPN pairing (which my Sam/Dean friends have graciously forgiven me for). The cinnamon and cocoa was nice and soothing this morning. I like Cara McGee’s stuff anyway. Also, fandom.
This was hard to make because it was SO CHUNKY, but it was very very nice and super refreshing – even helped my constant dehydration problem. I think I still got some black tea in there, though it seemed like just chunks of veggies and some other plants I’ve never even heard of. Lovely for drinking on the porch on a Sunday. Because they’re clever and not so OOC it’s creepy like bad-creepy. I’m also reading Red Dragon, because it’s adorable so far (and hopefully not weirdly anti-gay, like only 1981 can be in that special 1981 kinda way, though I think I made the right decision and it’s gonna be fun as hell), and I won’t admit to how many Hannibal eps I rewatched this weekend, because, life crisis.
I was all, I need some Chinese black tea to help me with my life crisis. And Carytown was all, we use that in most of our black tea blends, like Apricot and Black Rose. And I was all, I knew I loved you guys for a reason. I also got apricot tea biscuits and stuff to make my lunches, but I forgot them all at home this morning. Life crisis.
Favorite! FAVORITE tea! I splurged while shopping on Friday and kinda freaking out. I was a little too dehydrated to enjoy as much as I should… for the past few weeks. Can you tell I’m having a life crisis?
I didn’t realize this has lemongrass. So it’s citrusy and lemongrassy and flowery. I am a fan. I can’t afford to start my full fledged tea cabinet, but I’ll add to it a bit at a time.
Does anyone else think this tea tastes like chicken broth? Anyone? Just me? Not that that’s a bad thing… it’s kind of rich. And I feel sick pretty consistently these days, so it’s kind of nice. I just don’t know.

SO GOOD. I only had 1 tea bag, and I know we can’t get this online, so I steeped it about 5 times this weekend. It’s heavenly. So is the weather. Everything else, meh. But I’m running again, and after my boring test tomorrow I don’t have to study insurance for awhile, and I’m all caught up on Hannibal. So not everything.
Appropriate for today, because last night I decided to run away from work as fast as possible to go running in the sun, make goat cheese pasta and bleu cheese/potato tarts, & then finish S1 of Hannibal. Good call, I say to myself. Then I got my caramel fix from this tea this morning (I’m trying to save some for Shmiracles, I swear). I’m also trying to convince her to watch Hannibal too, though it’s hard because, TV. Though I was all, Oh look there’s swiggity swag the nightmare stag again… Ooh vomit & body parts…
Wow. This tea is amazing. I don’t really get the citrus as much as the strange spiciness – it reminds me of Catholic church, so like frankincense and myrrh or something. Maybe it’s the marigolds! Also, golden flowers, yes. It’s very TEA and strong, but soft and lovely. Thanks, Shmiracles, for letting me try some from your samples!
I think I had nightmares last night. Maybe I shouldn’t have watched shows with dismembered human totem poles in them before bed, maybe???? (Though, looked pretty amazing, I must say.) Why didn’t I dream about Hoechlin and baseball, or how Dylan O’Brien looks in all those Maze Runner pics? Oh, brain.
OR dream about how Tom Hiddleston is a closet fanfic fanatic. That was a good one.
Yeah but was there really a closet involved with that dream? Because even from the few memes I’ve seen, I’m pretty convinced he reads it haha
Said dismembered totem pole resides in my office. Wild mice currently live in it. How’s that for creepy/awesome? :P

AAAHHH that’s perfect! Wild mice. Seriously, that was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen on TV, and I don’t get creeped out that much, but I was getting creeped out. But moreso, impressed. It was amazing. That episode really took the show up a notch for me for several reasons, not least the totem pole, and now I can’t wait to finish the season. Kudos!
Ah, found this tea entry, finally. This one was a little light, and I wanted to like it more, but I am a fan of the cinnamony flavors with green tea, especially these Hobbity blends from Adagio. I had it with some Trader Joe’s milk & honey biscuits, and poured boiling water on my hand, but it doesn’t hurt.
Today is also lame (migraine day #4 + work + everything), but Sterek gets me out of bed, and a surprise Tyler Hoechlin or Martin Freeman radio show on my iPhone can definitely make my morning bearable. I love imaginary people, and internet people, and fantasy people. Sometimes actors. I just have to make it to lunch, then yoga, then baseball & Hannibal. Think I can make it? IDK, maybe!
