290 Tasting Notes
What a perfect day for iced (as is pretty much every other day of the year). And what is even more perfect is that David’s tea has a tea of the day that I haven’t tried yet!
Jungle Ju Ju is a mate tea but it has more of a black black tea or oolong taste to it. there also seems to be a slight hint of lemon, and a very slight sweet note in the background. It mostly tastes like a typical/plain iced tea; not very fruity or tropical. It’s good but nothing out of the ordinary.
I had no idea what guava tastes like, so I decided that, in order to review this tea better, I had to find out! So that’s why it has taken me almost half a month to review this tea.
So yes, this tea tastes like guava with a hint of a cherry kool-aid flavour. Kind of an artificial taste, which is something I really don’t like, but it wasn’t too overwhelming, so I don’t mind it that much.
I never thought Exotica would be anything special. It doesn’t have any particularly interesting ingredients, but the taste somehow manages to be out of this world!
This is probably one of my favorite iced teas at David’s tea; Hence the headline “your new obsession” on top if the tea’s description. I tasted the lemongrass right away with particular spice, which is the cinnamon and cloves along with a hint of cardamom.
I don’t find his tea spicy at all; the peppercorns don’t make much of a difference. I couldn’t even tell they were in there
It’s really fantastic; I never would have thought that all those flavors could go so well together! I would definitely recommend it to anyone! For example, my mom HATES cloves, but she loved this tea, so drink up because you won’t regret it!
What a disappointing tea of the month. I was really looking forward to trying this tea, but it’s just a big flop.
It’s not that it tasted bad, it just tasted like nothing, very bland. Usually that’s not such a bad thing, but it doesn’t even taste like mango, and where is the chili? I don’t even understand the flavors in this tea. It’s more like sweetened water. Nothing special, don’t waste your money on this tea.
This tea is a nice nutty-spicy tea. I can’t taste much toasted nut in it, it is more spicy than anything. Cinnamon is the spice I taste the most out of everything in this tea. It really takes over the tea in a not-so-good way. The coconut and fruit pieces give the tea a slight sweetness, which completes it and compliments the spices.
I had tried this tea before, hot, during this past winter and I was a little disappointed, but this time around, I have a new tea to add to my top ten! I think the fact that it is iced this time around, makes all the difference!
It’s so perfect, it has the right amount of sweetness balanced with citrus, lemon in particular, with a bit of orange. the gooseberries add the perfect sweetness to balance the flavours sour and bitter taste from the citrus. Overall, it reminds me of lemonade.
It’s absolutely delicious, I’ll definitely be having some more soon.
All I can really say about this tea is WOW. The cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves are the center of the tea, and are so strong. It is very similar to regular chai tea. There is a small minty note in the background and it compliments the spices. I like the taste from the fruit pieces because it is something different and doesn’t make the tea too sweet or overpower the spices.
Well I’m sorry to say, that as much as I love blooming tea, the Strawberry Bloom was awful. Purely, sickeningly awful. I took one sip and I gave the rest to my dying plant. It was just too terrible.
It “bloomed” very nicely, I’ll give it credit for that. There was too much (or maybe too little?) of the artificial strawberry taste and it didn’t even taste like strawberry. Whatever it was, the flavors were unbalanced and just wrong.
I literally took one sip and it made me gag. I brought the rest home to my family members and we all disliked it equally. So I gave it to my plant and it died the next day (I kid you not). It was revolting (I’m really sorry) it tasted nothing like spearmint.
I don’t think I have ever given such a terrible review to a tea before, nor have I ever used the term “revolting to describe a tea. Well, I guess there is a first for everything (sadly). This tea was a real disappointment because I really wanted to give a good review for this tea but That’s just not possible.
