49 Tasting Notes
I hated the dry leaf smell in the store, reminded me of Jumpy Monkey which I hated… but the salesperson assured me that this was a “favourite” so I picked up a whole 15g on the whim that I’d like it.
And, I do! I love puerh, and coffee, and chocolate… this will be my new morning tea for a while and give Chocolate Rocket a rest. :)
Okay, dry leaf smells amazing.
I used two teaspoons for about 6 minutes (I like my tea stronger). Just plain, I was not too impressed… tastes like coffee and a bit like jumpy monkey which I HATE… wah. However, a slight creaminess at the end of each sip.
I NEEDED to add sugar which I never do… and it tastes much better! Yay! It seems the cane sugar brings out the chocolate-y notes. It may need to grow on me. I have 25gs but I don’t know if I will re-buy.
Okay, so first time walking into Teavana today…
First complaint: 50g minimum? Really? :( makes me sad, I really wanted to sample a few.
Second: Fairly pricey
Third: Minimal selection
Anyway… there was not a lot of selection, I asked if they had white tea with coconut and the closest thing they had was this. All of their other white teas seemed to just be fruity.
It smelled like cream cheese icing to me! Really strong smell. I can’t wait to try, I hope the taste will make up for everything… then I will decide if I will buy other teas from here.
later –
okay this one smells as good as it tastes. delicious. i might have to get more. next on my teavana list is the chocolate coconut one.. all their teas seem to be fruity except for a few so i guess i won’t have to worry about trying them all! (I’m not into fruity… at least right now;))
Yaaay I’m so glad someone else has had this!
it tastes and looks divine. amazes my guests
