726 Tasting Notes
I feel like with all my morning shifts that I had a couple weeks back, I was never able to drink tea! Since I never had time in the morning to drink it, and when I got home, it was already late in the afternoon so I couldn’t drink caffeine because I knew I wouldn’t wake up.
But now, I’ve been getting closing shifts so I can drink a cup or two before work starts, and I don’t care about caffeine since I get off at 2am and still need to stay awake to drive home!
I haven’t had this tea in a while, but it still smells oh so wonderful from the package. It definitely smells like mango. Like ripened yellow mango, which is my favourite! May be a bit too ripe, but it tastes wonderful :)
Preparation
I’m a lazy butt and it’s almost bedtime so tea filters it is!
I just measured 2g of this into my filter and I’m just going to drink and drink until I steep all the flavour out :)
It’s a lovely tea. I seriously have no idea how to differentiate the peppermint teas I’ve had from different companies since peppermint just… tastes the same all around. I’ve only ever tasted peppermint tea or absolutely terrible peppermint tea. This is on the plain ol peppermint tea side so it’s good :)

Sipdown!
Thank you Shmiracles for sending this my way!
And thank you to my roommate, Angie, for choosing my three teas of the night hehe :) I don’t have anything to do till 5pm tomorrow so I’ll just DRINK ALL THE TEA!!
I don’t remember drinking this so I’ll probably just write this note as a first time tasting of this tea :)
Lovely cinnamon-y chai scent right out of the package (and can we all agree that Karen packs her teas in the absolute cutest way?) I do smell the oolong bits coming out (and I’m just going by what steepster says okay) BUT THE CHAI. IT’S LOVELY.
I do need milk soo… I’ll see if my roommate has some?
But this is a lovely tea! Because it is a chai tea, I had to add sugar and milk to it. But it’s definitely a nice cuppa :)
Flavors: Chocolate, Spices

I got out of class early today so I decided to go to the mall to pick up my free oz of tea! But dude. Malls are dangerous. I’m not much of a shopper, but I saw an Aldo and I needed my shoe inserts. And I passed by a Crabtree & Evelyn and I knew I needed some hand lotion since work is getting my hands all dry from work aaand I sorta splurged haha.
So Aldo, Crabtree & Evelyn, and free tea from Teavana! But I did purchase a tin since it was 50% off :)
I decided to go for this tea for my free oz. I wanted a green tea, and this one sounded cool so I went with it! And I don’t have that many spinach/vegetal teas so I figured I’d go with a strong green.
This one has a very strong vegetal scent dry. Leaves are super cute and nicely rolled up hehe
Once I poured the water in, it started getting a nice vibrant green colour to it!
Oh, this is a very nice tea! Not too vegetal, which I like. I did steep it for 1min, but it wasn’t flavourful enough. So I added 30seconds and it’s good! Maybe a tad too much spinach so next time I have this, I think 1min 15sec would do the trick!
And I can tell there’s still plenty of flavour in the leaves so I can’t wait to see how well it’ll resteep :)
Flavors: Broccoli, Grass, Green, Moss, Spinach, Vegetal

I feel a cold coming on and this is not okay since I have an 8day work week ahead of me!!
I got this as a free sample from my last DAVIDs order a while ago and I’ve been saving it for a day when I’ll feel under the weather… and today is that day.
Opening up the pack it smells so healthy and it smells like medicine. Gross. BUT AT LEAST AT FIRST SNIFF IT SMELLS LIKE IT’S GOING TO CURE ME IN AN INSTANT. Mint, juniper berries, citrus. Yeah I’ll stick to those ingredients for the next week or so just to make myself feel better.
I like how the orange peel is coming out as it steeps!
Oh gosh. IT TASTES SO HEALTHY. Happy that there’s no ginger in this, and the orange and eucalyptus oils are very strong.
I think… I think I like this? I might get some of this when I go to DAVIDs (in like a year ha) just so I have tea for when I feel all gross and groggy
Flavors: Eucalyptus, Mint, Orange

Two people on my dash had this today, and I really needed a caffeine-free tea that tastes lovely over ice so Golden Honew Dew it is!
I should’ve known to bring some of this with me when I met up with keychange at Disneyland today!! I still ended giving her a lot of other teas, but this one. Ahh how could I have forgotten!
But this is an absolutely lovely tea. Just a couple spoonfuls into a jar and sweetner, pour it over ice and it makes a lovely nighttime tea :)
I totally went to the Happiest Place on Earth with keychange today and it was tons of fun! It was a very different experience for me since she and her friend are both blind, but dude, I had a lot of fun. And I’m super happy that they had tons of fun as well! It did take us a while to get started with the passes and everything, but once we got on our first attraction, it was nonstop from there. We had such a fantastic time with Mary Poppins, and I’m actually going back to the parks tomorrow and head over to City Hall and let the people at guest relations know that Mary pretty much made our entire day :)
I do have a headache now though blehhh :/ It’s the whole spending the day at the parks/heat exhaustion thing that gives me these headaches soooo after this cuppa it’s time for bed! Parks for a couple hours tomorrow, and then an 8.5 hour shift that ends at 2am. Oh I’m living the life :))
((I don’t know if that’s supposed to be sarcastic of not…))
Flavors: Honeydew

She was lovely!
I say we ship all you lovely Canadians over to Disneyland and we all have a lovely day together :) See if we can get them to pull a couple of strings for us (since we’re pretty dang special. Come on, we’re adorable) so we can have tea with the princesses!
Oh, a girl can dream :)
That sounds like a spectacular day! I know that the only Disney I’ve ever been to is EPCOT as an adult and it was such a fun, wonderful day! Disney may be expensive, but they do do it right.
Epcot is my favourite of all the Disney parks in Florida!! If you do visit another time, make sure to go sometime in the fall when they have the Food and Wine festival. Last year there were 30 countries represented and each country had like 3-5 selections for food and multiple beers/wines to taste as well. It was like $3-$5 per plate and I had TONS of fun! And they always have someone performing each night as well :)
Thank you VariaTEA for sending this tea my way!
I’ve isolated this tea in a cute tin so it’ll keep it’s flavour and it smells so nice and luscious. I smell caramel and slight hints of chocolate so I’m hoping that the rooibos doesn’t overpower the flavouring!
But alas, the rooibos did overpower the sweet chocolate and caramel notes. it’s okay, but I definitely would have loved to taste the sweetness in this tea. A decent rooibos, something nice to end the night with :)
This is a tea that I’ve been wanting to try for a while now and thank you tons to Sil for sending this tea my way!
Ahh busy busy life right now with Disney, but I’m glad that I’m slowly adjusting and making time for tea :)
I think it was with December’s Steepster Select box that I fell in love with golden teas so anything golden is just… gold hahah. What makes these golden tipped teas so special? Or golden oolong, or golden curls or GOLDEN EVERYTHING. That’s a thing I’ll need to research soon :)
But this has a very lovely and dark liquor to it as it steeps, and it has that rich, dark, malty smell to it. It’s been a while since I’ve had a really great, straight, black tea, and this definitely is one of my favourites. I still absolutely love the Golden Yunnan from the December box, and my Vanesheh Persian Black tea from this local tea garden back home, but this tea comes as a close third!
This tea just gets better and better as I resteep it :)
I associate every golden tea as like a separate special tea okay. So pls excuse if they’re like… different
