The last time I bought an electric tea pot I was so excited about it, that I immediately came here and reviewed it, only to have to come back a few weeks later and change the review.

This is one of the pots I replaced the old one with and I’ve had it for 2 months now and it looks like this is a keeper :)

I love having the different buttons to set the temperature for different types of tea. The lid comes off completely, so it is a dream to clean and remove lingering moisture from (hence, no rusting, which quickly became a problem with the first pot).

I wish it had separate brewing and warming pots like the Real Tea maker by Nesco (yes, I bought that one too and I use it strictly for pots of black tea because there is no temperature control on it, but it also works really well). I sometimes have to dash back to remove the infuser when the timer goes off. Otherwise this is a great machine!

which is way cheaper than some of the dream machines I’ve looked at but knew I couldn’t buy.

Thanks to Harney and Sons for the sample bag. Not a bad tea but not one I fell in love with. You get a hint of citrus and it is not a weak blend but nothing I would replace my Irish Breakfast with. Not a bitter blend…I have yet to find a Harney tea that was bitter…but just your standard black IMO.

This tea is growing on me. Maybe because it is hot now and of the green teas I’ve tried chilled, this one seems to refresh me the most.

Hot, I just do not get much of a blueberry note. But the blueberry seems to come out more when the tea is chilled.

A little cream and sweetener blend nicely, though I wouldn’t over do it.

This is one I will want more of during these summer months.

I really think green is just not my kind of tea. The coconut flavor came through nicely but, honestly, I just can’t get excited about this tea. Smooth and refreshing with a dab of cream but the green tea after taste just didn’t make me want more.
Not a bad tea and I appreciate Harney sending the sample (it’s always such fun to get something unexpected with an order) but not one I plan to try again anytime soon.
If you like coconut (and I do) and green this might be worth your while.

A good solid black for making iced tea. The usual Harney quality black but nothing otherwise notable. A dependable hearty tea that blended well with a little cream, sugar and ice.

Used the sample sachet Harney sent with 8 cups of water.

Such a refreshing and tasty tea for a July afternoon. A little cream, a touch of sweetener and I am in pineapple heaven!

I just love this tea. I am down to my last 4 or 5 sachets and luckily Harney’s has their 50 sachet bag on sale…yay! This is becoming a must have for me. The lemon flavor is so light…but not so light that you miss it. The vanilla or cream flavor really compliments the lemon.
Every way (hot, chilled, plain, sweetened , with and without cream) I’ve tried it, this tea has been delightful. It’s hand down my favorite white tea.

Very refreshing on these warm summer days but a nice way to start the morning too.

The tea makes me think of Harney’s Dorchester blend. It is a brisk and full bodied tea. The flavor is not a malty as Dorchester. Instead, the flavor is citric, flirting with bitter or maybe sour but not quite crossing the line.

The addition of sweetener and cream takes the edge off without off powering the blend.

A nice morning tea. I did try it chilled and in the afternoon and it maintained its heartiness. I think it would make a nice alternative to morning coffee, though I still prefer Irish Breakfast or Harney’s Golden Blend (though the price off Kangaita OP keeps it in the running for another order).

2nd steep was slightly milder but still full of flavor.

I am a lover of mint juleps. While this tea isn’t quite the same as a julep, it does have a refreshing taste and fragrance that helps take the edge off of the summer heat. I tried hot and cold. It was fine both ways but with the warm weather, I especially enjoyed this tea chilled. The spearmint flavor really comes through. The tea it self is almost the consistency of a matcha, so be careful with the infuser. If you like spearmint, you won’t be disappointed. Prior to this I was buying McCormick and Bigalow’s Plantation Mint. This is far better than McCormick and while PM was’t a bad tea, the Harney’s blend is easily my favorite.
In fact, I think this will end up being one of my summer favorites, besting Harney’s Black Currant and Organic Coconut iced teas.

FYI if this is your kind of tea, Harney’s has it for appx. half price right now. I am learning that I am a black tea lover at heart. That being said, this is a nice tea for when you have had your quota of back tea but still want a tea drink. I can taste the orange but it is not the main note. The green tea/marigold seems to dominate. For me, a touch of sweetener brought out the orange. It was pleasant but not the show stoppers goji and black currant were for me. Not something I wold normally buy in large quantities for me (a sample or tag-along 5 pack would be enough for me) but getting the canister on sale enables me to share with my green tea loving friends and add another pretty tin to the Harney collection.
They always get me with the pretty tins :)
