Finished this up today. A little sad to see it done, but it was great while it lasted! It has a really nice sweet warmth to it like vanilla but fruity. Although I really enjoyed this tea, I don’t think I’ll be buying a large size of it.
Preparation
So I got my package from Den’s Tea! Its my first time ordering from there. I bought a kyusu and used it to steep this tea! It is so delicious! I steeped it twice.
I had such a long weekend! This tea was great!
Preparation
Made this one iced. So creamy! Something about the rhubarb! I’ve never even tried rhubarb so I can’t compare it. I need to search for some rhubarb pie!

I don’t know if Adagio change the “nose” of this one or if I got a funky batch the last time but regardless THANK THE TEA GODS for the different pre-steep scent on this one! I received this within the savory tea sample and the dry leaf smell is MUCH better than my last batch!!! It smells just like Cucumber this time and actually tastes better and cleaner!
I have been having probs with live chat on there lately but they are good about emails too! Might have to email them instead because I am very curious! :P
I never get an email back from them. If it really is different, it’ll have to wait. I have an 8oz tin that’s only half gone lol.
@Jillian, I never got the pickle aroma, just vinegar… but since pickles are IN vinegar, I guess that’s pretty much the same lol.
I’m still hung up on the smell of this one! Ek! Not pleasant…but the tea is a good one to sip and relax. My advice – plug your nose while steeping and enjoy the cuppa…still a goodie!
I agree, although I don’t have such a problem w/ the aroma of it steeping. It’s the vinegar smell of it raw in the tin that gets me. I LOVE this unsweetened chilled (no ice). White tea helps lower body temperature and the crisp taste even has a cooling effect inside my mouth. I also make a blend of 1/2 white cucumber and 1/2 of their ginseng green. The perfect blend for when the summer heat saps all your energy!
I was going to drink this yesterday…but forgot. I saw that rkalajian commented about it and remembered to finally try it for myself. Just got it last week! It sounded refreshing via the description. I agree with rkalajian’s comment about the pre-steep loose leaf smell – Good God – not pleasant at all – stings the nostrils! While steeping I noticed the aroma morph into something different…almost like that of a hair salon or something. The coloring is true to a white tea. The longer you steep the more floral or blossomy it smells like. I’m steeping it now…trying to be patient for the full 7 minutes. After steeping the scent of the liquid in the cup has very little scent. You can taste both the White Tea as well as the Cucumber. It’s alright. Thank God the smell toned itself out! It’s refreshing as you sip but leaves a semi-sweet aftertaste. Glad I bought it to try. It’s not my fave but I will still give it a thumbs up because it’s drinkable and creative.
