I’m not a huge fan of Dancong. its tricky to brew even though im super careful. In addition, I do not like florals in my tea. it must be heat or something but i woke up after late late nap with cravings for Dancong.
This tea is incredible. Fresh, green and not floral. The smell is intoxicating of freshness and nuttiness.
First steeps remind me green beens and young potatoes. savory delicious.
Later on it picked some spice and floral notes, but florals werent strong which is YAY in my case.
The tea was very refreshing, deliciously sweet. Thank you so much Scott for sending this sample my way. i would never pick it on my own.
To conclude, we should not drink only “comfortable teas”. we should try new ones, train our buds and perhaps discover new favorite.Steeping parameters

I like your conclusion. I almost never drink Oolongs, but maybe this tea will get me out of my comfort zone.
Doug F, that was my case. i drink pu, yancha and hongcha. but i think its like learning curve. we cannot get stuck in the same teas. it helps appreciate and pick up notes in sheng. this oolong is so weather appropriate. its more complex than green tea and it didnt get bitter. also i really like Taiwanese oolongs i picked from their new site Taiwan Sourcing. of course i only picked dark roasted ones for now ;) Delicious
Yes, the new Taiwan site caught my eye. I know Yunnan Sourcing is known for their pu-erhs but I find their blacks and greens to be outstanding.
