Tonight I tried Mate Lemon.

LIQUID. LEMON. DROP.

Delicious. Since being pregnant, Ive had to switch from sugar to sucralose or even stevia, due to my gestational diabetes. Lemme tell you stevia leaves really do taste good. especially in teas. This green tea with lemon, is like a liquid lollipop.

Sorry you have GD … no fun being diabetic even if yours won’t last forever. xo

its actually not that bad. I got a meter and strips and I test about 4 times daily, it’s pretty controllable with diet alone for me. I just have to concentrate on losing some weight after my son is born. :)

I had the decaf ginger lemon. I should say that I’m not the biggest fan of greens. Haven’t found my go-to green tea yet, but this isn’t bad. Very light. I can taste the ginger and lemongrass, but just barely. Maybe if I steeped longer but I was afraid it’d go bitter. Would be good blended with a lemongrass tea or with a squirt of lemon juice. Overall not too bad.

I took a Chinese Breakfast: Certified Organic Yunnan Black Tea tea bag out of the assorted box that my boyfriend had. I love him to death because he lets me steal his tea.

I wasn’t sure if I had brewed it long enough because it brewed to this lovely golden topaz color instead of the deep brown I have been used to with my black teas. But I had brewed it for four minutes and I did remember that different teas brew up to different colors. This was the first time I had had this tea and it was good.

I drank it hot with nothing added.

It tasted light and fresh. It also tasted sweeter than the English Breakfast tea I have been drinking. I really liked that even though it was a black tea, it didn’t taste heavy like I was expecting it to. It was very, very nice and I really wish I had more.

I had the Aged Earl Grey: Fair Trade Certified™, Certified Organic Italian Bergamot Black Tea. Steeping for 3 minutes (3-5 recommended) produced a perfect cup of tea. I’m not typically an Earl Grey drinker. It is usually too bitter for my tastes. This cup was delightful. The bergamot was not too strong.
