64 Tasting Notes
I get apple, not cinnamon apple, just apple. So, I added some cinnamon. Still apple, that’s it. There’s now a slight warmth to it from the cinnamon I just added but it’s not at all that comforting having a slice of pie taste I thought I would. it’s a good tea for what it is, but not what I bought it for so no repurchase for me.
as a loose leaf tea drinker, I tend to be a snob as to what banged tea I’ll drink but I really like this. I’m not tasting too much rooibos which makes me sad certain times and others I kinda like. roobios is one of those teas I have to be in the mood to have and if I’m not in the mood to taste roobios and in the mood for a pumpkin treat this is it. For a th tea I like it a lot and I bought a few boxes to last me til next year. I can definitely tell there is black pepper but it’s not too bad. It’s a good in a rush tea.
I am going to be weird and say I love this tea with milk and sugar. Okay, I know I’ve been banned from the steepster world, but before I am let me have this one last tasting note :) I didn’t like it straight, or with just some sugar it just tasted burnt to me. (I swear I didn’t oversteep the tea, I only steep for 3 minutes at most even though the directions say more) And adding milk I don’t know it just went down so nice ahhhhhh….this will definitely be a miss since this is my last cup. But I will rebuy this sometime this month.
I haven’t had this tea in a while. Great tea, different tea, but great tea. Not something I thought a tea would ever taste like. It still doesn’t disappoint me as I taste a richly sweet, yet not overpowering honey taste and smell. Actually this tea is what I want real honey to smell like. I like the taste of honey but hate the smell. Being honest I know bee spit is how it’s made I get it but the smell of spit is BLEHH…but onto the tea. LOVE LOVE LOVE <3
This just isn’t tasting like what I wanted it to. I wanted a slightly rich black tea with noticeable caramel sweetness. It still doesn’t do it for me and everytime I steep it I think I’ll get that and it lets me down :(. As it is, it is a good tea. But not what I wanted it to be.
This is good, I enjoy it. But, I think it gave me a headache with the aroma of the cloves. I tend to be a tad bit sensitive to strong scents. It reminds me of an amped up version of glitter and gold. I get where they’re coming from in terms of the whole “Spice cake” thing they were trying to go for but straight it doesn’t work that way. I added a little brown sugar and a little extra vanilla extract and I think it helps since I like the rich yet subtly sweet teas. Not sure if I’d repurchase after I finish up my 15 gram bag, I haven’t quite formed a static opinion of it yet. But I think I like glitter and gold better, it’s just the right amount of spiceyness.
Mapley and super syrupy sweet. Which is great!, because the only reason you would buy this tea is for that flavour. I loveeeeeeeeeee this. I didn’t think I would because I don’t like rooibos. 2 reasons: it never stays inside my tea ball, and there’s that stigma I have about it that’s like ehhhhh, I prefer my greens and my oolongs. But I’m coming along to liking rooibos maybe just because of this. It’s got me singing my national anthem over and over again.
I don’t like pu’erh all that much and it takes a good tea that will mask the taste of it in order to allow me to drink it and enjoy it. This does that very well. I love the skinny, makes me feel better after having too much of a big meal. As well, it tastes so citrusy (I know not a word) that I really do enjoy every sip of this.
