30 Tasting Notes
Second or third time I’ve brewed this one since I got it at my birthday. I find it’s not all that impressive hot, but I steeped it hot and then poured it over ice and it’s definitely an improvement! It did need to be sweetened a bit but I’m not sure white sugar was the best choice, it might be better with agave.
It is cherry-flavoured, but it’s definitely an artificial taste. I’d way rather drink DAVIDsTEA “Hard Candy” than this. Iced was certainly an improvement over hot, though.
Flavors: Artificial, Cherry

This was one of my first non-Earl Grey/Orange Pekoe teas, and it’s been a staple in my cupboard ever since. I normally drink this one hot (it’s my “ow I hurt, make it better” tea), but today I decided to try it iced. Used 2 tea bags, around 750mL water at 200F, steeped for 5 minutes, and then poured over ice. Yum!
Of course the ice waters it down and weakens it quite a bit, but I keep pouring more tea in to try and strengthen the flavour. Not sure if I should’ve let it steep longer, or if another tea bag would’ve been a better idea – this is one I can usually get away with just leaving the tea bags in the pot.
Aside from the weaker-than-hot flavour, this is pretty good iced. I can drink it clear, it doesn’t demand the use of sugar like the other ices I’ve been drinking recently. Would definitely ice this one again.
Flavors: Apple, Cinnamon, Cranberry, Tart
Preparation
Went into DT after work and decided to try this one iced (about my 5th one this week). Every other one I’ve tried so far I needed to sweeten (after trying them clear), but this one I didn’t need to, it’s awesome just the way it is!
Will definitely be going back to get another mug of this tea, and may need to add it to my collection. I’ve been savouring this one, trying not to drink it all before I can go back and get more xD
Flavors: Candy, Cherry, Coconut, Sweet
Preparation
I’ve had this tea 3 or 4 times at a local tea room, and it’s been lovely. It’s nice clear, but it’s better with milk & sugar. I bought some loose leaf because I’ve enjoyed it so much, but first impressions upon opening the bag weren’t great. It smelled very smoky, and there was almost no trace of the maple at all. Tasted better once I’d brewed it, but I’m worried I used too much tea and brewed for too long.
The first steep was actually pretty good, although the smoky scent still lingered. I resteeped the same leaves about 8 hours later…bad idea, don’t recommend it. Had to add a ton of sugar and a bit of milk to make it drinkable.
Flavors: Bitter, Maple, Smoke, Smoked
Preparation
Finally figure out exactly what to do with this tea – it’s ideal for a tea latte. Probably 1-2 tsp white sugar and about 1/4 cup of milk (I made it with 1% and it was perfect). Filled my cup about 3/4 full of boiling water, let steep for 5 min, then added sugar to taste and the milk (which I’d frothed with my mom’s little electric whisk). Ideal <3
Still disappointed that I can’t seem to enjoy this clear, because I do enjoy black tea. The good thing is that you can resteep the same leaves and get just as much flavour the second time around.
Note: Not sure if my measurement of tea is right – I use one DavidsTEA “Perfect spoon” full

Flavors: Earl Grey, Peach, Tea
Preparation
I’m really surprised I haven’t logged this one yet, it’s one of my absolute favourites. It has a wonderfully peachy scent dry, and tastes just as peachy after brewing.
I’ve done it at both 200F and Boil (now that we have a variable kettle). By the cup I use one bag, by the pot I use 2. I don’t find any need for milk or sugar with this one, it’s perfectly fine clear.
Flavors: Fruity, Peach
Preparation
I’m so disappointed in this tea. I was really excited for the vanilla/peppermint blend, and the mint totally overpowers the vanilla. When first brewed, you can sort of smell the vanilla but there’s no taste of it what soever. This is pretty much a mint rooibos tea.
If I can find a vanilla loose leaf, I might try and blend them. But otherwise, meh.

Flavors: Mint, Peppermint, Vanilla
Preparation
The dry leaves smell very pepperminty because of the candy cane pieces, and there’s almost no trace of the vanilla.
Liquor is clear and red-amber. The peppermint taste and scent is much more prominent than the vanilla, which only sort of appears as an after-taste. As a lover of peppermint teas, this is definitely right up my alley. However, I’m also a big fan of vanilla rooibos and I do miss the vanilla flavour. If I can find a loose-leaf vanilla rooibos I like, I’d probably try blend them to bring out the vanilla flavour. I also like a stronger tea, so I’d probably use more tea next time.

Flavors: Peppermint, Vanilla
Preparation
Re-steeped with the same leaves from my previous review. The shorter steep time definitely helped, but I lost most of the sense of the peach the second time – was more of a black tea with almost undetectable peach flavour. Still had to sweeten it a bit, but no milk this time.

I always find it interesting how different people like different teas! But I just want to clarify that the favouring is not artificial. All Steeped Tea flavourings are natural.
I wasn’t meaning to say the tea used artificial flavourings, but it tasted like fake cherry. I can’t even think of a specific item with a similar taste, can only think of cherry cough syrup or something…or like dollar store cherry lollipops. Most cherry candy doesn’t taste that fake (I LOVE Cherry Blasters, for example)
