drank Strawberry Zabaglione by 52teas

A friend of a friend invited me over for tea, and this was she served. It was like springtime in a cup. The strawberry flavor was wonderful, but what I truly enjoyed was the creaminess of the tea. Also, the base tea was really good. The black tea did not disappear even though there was a lot going on in the cup. It’s a great day when you make a new friend AND find a great tea!

Love the mixture of green tea and peach. It’s very light, but sweet and satisfying.

Love this tea! The balance of tea and mint is perfect, and the tiny candy canes are a a fun little treat. Far and away the best mint tea I have had to date.

A nicer mint tea than I remember. I find myself reaching for it when I’m feeling slightly stressed and needing a bit of a break. I enjoy this tea with just a hint of sugar. It helps highlight the mint without masking the flavor of the green tea.

drank Lady Grey by Twinings

I adore this tea. I love the flavor of citrus without being blown away by the bergamot that is the defining note in Earl Grey. This has been my afternoon (and sometimes evening) tea for several weeks now, and I look forward to each cup.

I am drinking this iced, and it’s decent. It was a bit tart, so I added sugar. There isn’t much pomegranate action, but the raspberry is present and very nice. I don’t know if I would buy a whole box of this tea, but if someone offered me a glass I wouldn’t pass it by.

It’s called Christmas Morning, but it happens to be a nice afternoon tea, too.

I am enjoying this tea. It’s just an honest, reliable tea that gives me the kick I need to get myself going. I have a definite caffeine buzz after two cups, and on a Monday morning that’s a good thing.

Taoserrat

This decaf review skewed this down horribly. It’s quite malty. I think I read somewhere it’s all India- sourced. Not bitter like a couple I’ve had.

I should say I’m no IBT rookie; I think this is the 18th IBT I’ve had and it’s at least top ten. I’d rate it 87 or so, with potential to rise, based on a single cup.

It lacks the virtual perfection of Taylor’s of Harrogate or the ultra-expensive Adagio, but for the very reasonable price, it’s very good indeed.

If I liked to drink other than Irish Breakfast Teas, I’d try some of Wegmann’s other teas!

drank Queen Catherine by Harney & Sons

This could be love. I tried Queen Catherine after reading the many wonderful reviews about it here and at other sites. When a tea (or any object) is so loved I’m almost afraid to try it because I doubt there is any way for it to live up to all the hype. The Queen, however, rules. This tea is strong but not overbearing. There are slight notes of chocolate and coffee (maybe?) and a smokey note at the finish that I love. Such a lovely tea. I look forward to spending many more moments with the Queen.

Mellow and sweet with just enough tang from the grapefruit to provide balance.. This is a very nice tea. Easy to relax with, and easy to enjoy.
