I liked the cute little white tin this comes in. When I checked out the reviews before having it I cringed a bit and wondered if I really wanted to try it. Fishy? Crab? Didn’t sound good. I just brewed it up like most of my green teas – 1 tsp – 8 oz- 185F- 1 1/2 min.

I was surprised it was pretty good. Nope , no fishy taste. Maybe it was all in the brewing? Or maybe a different batch? I don’t know. It was smooth, sweet and a pleasant green tea. No bitterness or astringency.

Lol, crab? o.o That is frightening.

I’m glad I tried it out after all. Isn’t it amazing how we all get something different from the same tea?

Jillian

I found this tea to to have quite a savory, ‘umami’ taste so I wonder if people are confusing that with fish.

Green teas are my favourite teas but I also enjoy: white, some herbal, rooibos, raw pu’erh, light oolongs, a little bit of black , and a little bit of ripe pu’erh. I have moved away from artificial flavourings and there’s hardly anything left in my cabinet with artificial flavouring or colours. It is mostly straight teas or tea blends.
