This is the last cup in the sample from TeaSipper Thank you!

The last time I had this tea I was working from home. The cup I had was very bitter. At work I tend to use water that is cooler than boiling and for a lot of teas that has made them taste much better for me. This is another tea that the lower water temp helped a lot. My second cup of this is wonderful. This is a very fruity assam that has a wonderful malty base. As it cools there is a slight bite to it, but it gives the cup a nice tang. The flavor is much more complex than I expected and I am really enjoying this one. I wish I had enough left to do a comparison with my favorite assam, but I guess I might just have to order an ounce to give that a try! I am really glad I got to try this one. I am looking forward to the resteep on this one!

I started drinking tea while on a 4 month long cycling trip through South America. It seemed to always be a great way to warm up when I was cold and it was always available everywhere. Mate was the big tea of choice down there and it was also a great way to get to know people. When I returned home, my sister introduced me to Teavana and this launched me into the realm of loose leaf tea.
