Yum! Nice blending KallieBoo! This a nice cup!!! Of the two Foofy the cat teas, this is by far my favorite. Thanks for the sample!

Ha Ha, not surprised to look up this tea and see it has a 44 rating. I’ve never seen anything rated that low, but I totally know why!

The smell alone is enough to clear the room. Holy smokes! And I’m around 1 kid that still wears diapers, so yeah, I know stinky smells.

Thanks Shmiracles! This was a fun tea to laugh about :-)

Yeah, I don’t like David’s cinnamon flavor either. Oh well.

On to the next! Thanks Shmiracles!

Hmmm… after the 2 previous flavored puerhs from David’s I didn’t think this one was gonna be any good either, but i’m surprised to find that I like this. I do LOVE ginger and the ginger in this tea is super dooper strong and spicy. There’s a hint of fishy puerh at the end, but it is otherwise totally unoffensive! Yay! Thanks (AGAIN!) Shmiracles!

You would probably have loved Verdant’s Sichuan Caravan…sigh…

drank Caramel by Kusmi Tea

I’ve had other kusmi teas and they were too perfumey for me so I wasn’t too sure about this one until I opened the pouch. Not perfumey at all, just a nice caramel aroma! And a tasty cup as well! Yum!

Thanks Shmiracles!

I’m coming to terms with the fact that I just don’t like the cinnamon that Della Terra uses in their teas. Luckily this tea doesn’t have too much in it, but it’s still lurking there in the background. Otherwise, I do like this tea! Thanks Shmiracles!

I knew when i looked this tea up that the chances of me liking it were about 1/1,000,000,000, but hey, there was a chance…

But, um, no, not at all. Lapsang Souchong and berries. Not for me.

Loved that I got to try it though, thanks Shmiracles!

I’ve made it my mission to get through all my swap samples before I can purchase more tea. I doubt I’ll succeed, but hey, its nice to have goals!

I got this in a mystery swap from Shelley_Lorraine. It’s a pretty good vanilla black tea. The vanilla flavor is really nice, not fakey at all. I think I want a little more out of the base black tea, but honestly, it’s pretty good. Not a “I gotta go buy more of this right now” tea, but still, a good tea to start my saturday sipdown with! Thanks Shelley_Lorraine!

I’m 90% sure I got this from KallieBoo in a mystery swap, but my swap drawer got all messed up so I’m not 100%. If I got it wrong, I apologize to whoever it was who sent it to me, if i got it right, Thanks KallieBoo!

I actually am quite surprised to say that i really like this! I haven’t liked pretty much any white teas I’ve had lately, but this one is very tasty. Reminds me of the gingerbread coffee cake a bit. Yum!!!

Normally when I have a Yunnan, I think, yep, that was a yunnan. No surprises, just a straight forward, enjoyable cup.

Then I had this cup.

Woah. This is both sweet and black or cayenne peppery at the same time. And some chocolate pudding mixed in? I don’t know! This is one crazy ass yunnan! I can’t get my head around it!

This one is definitely on my long list of favorite black teas. I love it!

Bio

I love tea. And I love beer. I spent my twenties thoroughly enjoying all that beer has to offer but now that I’m into my thirties and a stay at home mom of 2 little kids and 1 big kid, I spend more time enjoying tea.

I joined steepster in Feb 2013 and it’s crazy how much my tastes have changed since joining. Before, I liked cream and honey in all teas and loved mostly dessert blacks. Now I almost rarely drink them, but enjoy them from time to time. What I love more than anything are straight rich black teas, Fujian, Laoshan, Rizhao, etc… I also love pretty much any black tea that the little leaf hoppers have gotten their teeth on.

I’m still not too into the green/white/oolong varieties. I keep trying to but my tastes are evolving pretty slowly on that front.

Overall, I just enjoy tea. Something about it that just settles me.
