15074 Tasting Notes
steepster is making me mad this morning. It won’t let me comment on people’s tasting notes, but it’s hit or miss…so sometimes i can, othertimes i can’t. I WILL NOT BE SILENCED DAMNIT! lol
i am scrambling around like a madwoman today – need to get some work done, pack AGAIN, get ready to leave the house this afternoon and try to at least help my other half with a few things around the house. I feel terrible that he’s on his own all month.
This tea was pulled out because it’s my oldest tea (january) and because i need to finish something things up soon because Terri and Nicole maaay have exploded my cupboard a little…at least it’s largely samples lol
I didn’t have this problem, but then I’m not a very good commenter either, so I only tried it out once. :/ At least we can post on the boards now. Are you getting TOSed again?
mmmmm creamy tea for which i cannot remember the name of. FU BRICK – life in teacup. We picked this one out because of sars review of camelia sinesis’ version of this tea. Plus it’s more fun to drink pu with two!
I played the harp today toooo! yeppers… good times at terri’s place…plus we went to a tea shop, and i bought a raspberry chocolate donut at strange donuts. Great Day!
so the tea…it’s like creamy and stuff and totally awesome to drink with my fun-gal terri heh
booooo on having to go to the airport soon.
drinking tea with terri! woot woot!
um…distracted by tea snooping and such (and yes guys…terri’s cupboard IS really full) this is decent enough but it’s not really up my alley, which we know, which is also why we decided to share a cup rather than me taking some home! i hereby call this the terri grapefruit tea. there’s a story there…but for now.. OFF TO THE TEA SHOP!
Terri and I are drinking these two teas together to compare the difference between the same tea wet stored and dry stored.
this is so not going to be technical and all purty like because let’s be honest, we’re hanging out in terri’s office, drinking tea together and chatting. Who wants to waste time focusing on finding the right words to describe the tea..it’s about the TIME TOGETHER!!!!!!
Dry store – initial stuff, sort of a typical puerh…nothing exception here, but it’s not bad.
Wet Store – smells like….“old” it very much tastes the way that old castles smell like in europe when you go underground with that musty, earthy sort of smell. it tastes and smells like that.
round two (3/4)
edge has come off of the wet storage, but it’s still not what i want it to be. better though…better
Dry storage – seems a little smoother…the tea is a little less distinct? ie. it’s sort of easing back and the flavours are becoming a little more muted.
third round
dry – there’ a sweetness developing here, though the tea is still mild for me…
wet storage – this is growing on me. I think i’d probably really like this at about the 8th steep, but im’ not sure i want to have it and get to that point lol
breakfast tea with the best tea sister evaaar! I got to try this one out, which is great since it’s on my list of things to order from Stacy, and this let me try it first. I sadly mostly just remember that this was smooth, and delicious. It was the right blend of ceylon and darjeeling for me – neither one overpowering the other. on the whole, a great accompaniment to delicious terri made breakfast!
what up steepster peeps!
Be jealous. that is all i have to say. :) Tea sisters, Terri and Sil are in “the house” together! in St louis! Best morning ever as terri picked me up from the hotel WITH A TRAVEL MUG OF THIS SUCKER FOR ME! yeah that’s right. first tea since i left on monday and it was super fantastische….mostly because i get to hang out with terri!
Also, i totally got breakfast from terri…. almond flour pancakes, potatoes, more tea!, bacon…soo good!
