drank Peach Fuzz Chai by 52teas

Another sample from Krystaleyn! Yummy! I’m really kicking butt in trying a bunch of new teas today! go me!

This particular tea is delicious! I cold brewed this cause who can drink hot tea in weather like this?! (Says the girl who just had hot soup for dinner) I’m really liking the balance of spices here! A lot of times, chais use too much of one thing or another, but this one is just perfect! The cardamom and the cinnamon and the yummy white base that is almost milky.

And, the slightly fruitiness of the peach. It’s only lightly peachy. I think if I didn’t know it was flavored, I would have thought that the peachiness was an inherent quality in the tea. Though I don’t usually get peach notes from a white tea. Very very tasty.

Despite cold brewing, I’m getting quite a caffeine kick from this. I can only imagine how I’d feel if I had hot brewed this. White teas are definitely morning teas.

I had this (iced) and hot soup also today, weird!

Alphakitty: You know what they say about great minds! ;)

Azzrian: Haha, thanks. Sometimes you just need someone else to cheer for you to know you’re not crazy. If I had told my husband that I’m proud of myself for getting through a bunch of tea samples, he’d just roll his eyes at me. Of course I roll my eyes at him when he plays FIFA online with his buddies so we are even. :)

LOL!!!! You know pretty much ALL hobbies are equally awesome and silly depending on perspective.

Definitely preferred this one cold to hot. It just didn’t have enough flavour when hot, imo.

Funny, I always think of white teas as evening teas. Are you sensitive to caffeine? I think I’m mostly immune.

Mercuryhime

I am quite sensitive. I think I’m getting a bit better than I used to be but I think my sensitivity allows me to get a feel for caffeine content better than some. White tea hits me harder than greens or oolongs. Though Frank’s bai mu dans are definitely more caffeinated than other whites. Tasty but caffeinated. Any real tea is bad before bed though. It’s all herbals and honeybush in the evenings!

CHAroma

Interesting. Thanks for the heads up!

I came from a tea drinking family, but I never appreciated the different qualities and varieties of tea until older. All that time wasted! But I guess I needed to be mature enough to appreciate the tea experience. :)

My favorite teas are green oolongs and white tea. I also love greens, especially gyokuro. I have a huge appreciation for rooibos and honeybush as they are often that only thing I can drink in the evening. I am a relatively new convert to black teas. This is unfortunate for my wallet but extremely wonderful for my palate. :)

In any case, I have a love for both flavored and unflavored teas. They are different experiences for sure, but both enjoyable. I find that it often depends on my mood.

I am on a quest to find a tea that will win my husband over. I think I’m making some headway…
