January 2020 subscription
When I have received an herbal blend based on chamomile, I thought that this tea will rest for long probably. Nobody in my family is fan of chamomile, but when it is evening and family wants a tea – I had to pick up this one. Oh, okay, I had lots of other teas to use, but I thought I will brew something fresh. And nobody was fan of spicy teas (other caffeine-free alternatives) today.
I used maybe half of the pouch (that’s 10 grams) into big strainer, boiling water and… voilá – we have maybe 2 litres of tea?
Of course I took my cup and decided to make a tasting note.
It seems indeed chamomile is in based on aroma, but with some fruit notes, maybe a little bit like vanilla too? Blind tasting says it is fruit tea instead of herbal, again I notice vanilla there with some citrus (Scheherazade noticed grapefruit and I agree, but not fully). It’s as well creamy (as she noticed), certainly not chamomile herbal taste at all.
I have expected much worse, but actually it is nice surprise (and finally a loose leaf tea today).
Flavors: Citrusy, Creamy, Vanilla

Huh, I got this in my subscription packet, but really don’t like chamomile tea so I haven’t opened it. Based on your tasting note, I think I will try it.
Martin — today was utter shit. It was a strange day, the first ever that I almost called out of work despite no being sick. I went home for lunch and as I was putting my shoes on to go back to work, the post came and I had to sign for your package! Since then, a day of small, happy happenings continued to occur. And now I’m smiling in love. Thank you for your generosity <3
Maddy Barone – me as well, I drink chamomile only if I have to. Which don’t happen very often recently. But luckily it is not only chamomile tea.
Happy to hear derk. Actually, I have turned on the e-mail notifications. But for sure I am happy that no customs duty had to be paid, because the postman was very importunate about writing real value on customs declaration. He warned me that it must be correct, otherwise I will pay all the postage and customs work in US and everything you can think of. So I wrote down some value. And now, weekend will come, so you can dig in into my teas. Or any teas. Days like yours suck the most. Something is wrong that day, nobody really knows what and there are no signs of better. But then it comes and everything is fine again. I hope you will like them; but unfortuntely, I promised you making Steepster entry for one of the herbal tea, but I somehow forgot and more over was in hurry whole week. Enjoy!
