24 Tasting Notes
Another tea that my coworker brought back from NY! I love chai and I LOVE chocolate so, as you can tell i was a bit excited to try this tea.
The aroma is heavenly, the spices and the yummy chocolate smell makes me want to eat it lol This tea is amazing! It has a nice clean flavour. I get a nice taste of cardamon which compliments the chocolate quite nicely. I can’t wait to try it with milk… will update once I’ve tried it that way too!
Preparation
This is a great tea! I love grapes so of course I was drawen in immediately. It has a wonderful grape aroma that reminds me of the Japanese grape flavored candies :D The taste is just as awesome! The green tea and the sweetness of the grape blend nicely, each not overpowering the other. It’s extremely yummy XD
Preparation
Another flavoured puer I was very happy to try!
As soon as I opend the package the sweet smell of cinnamon met my nose and made me want to brew it that much faster!
I love that LUPICIA uses cinnamon that is more on the sweet side than the spicey side. The sweetness of the cinnamon really makes it like a cookie. Totally reminds me of a snickerdoodle! And the puer tea base isn’t that strong, earthy puer flavour that the majority of them have! It is def. a very good tea to have after a meal or infront of a fireplace on a cold rainy day!
Preparation
yeah that ones really good too! but if you’re going to get this one, you should get the Sunny Fruits one too, thats my favorite out of the 3 lol
Mmmm…that one sounds yummy too! I need to make an order from Lupica soonish to renew my newsletter and replenish my cookie supply. These are definitely going on the shopping list.
When my coworker came back from New York she brought a few teas from 52 teas with her and said i could try some :D After having another citrusy tea this morning, it seemed good to try another one!
Right when i opened the package the aroma of the lemon and citrus hit me. It reminded me of my grandmas homemade lemonade. I also picked up a scent i didn’t recognize and i am still assuming it is the Guayusa. Upon looking at the leaves more closely, and besides noticing the leaves look extremely dark, i was able to pick out lemon verbena, lemongrass, and lemon myrtle two of which being some of my favorite herbs.
When i began to steep it i decided i would let it do so for about 5 mins and see what happened. After checking up on it at 2 mins i nearly screamed because it was so dark and i was afraid i overbrewed it.
The taste is wonderful tho! It has all the wonderful citrus notes and the lemon verbena really ties the flavors together I think. The first cup was a little lacking in flavor only because my silly almost heart attack, but the second cup tastes amazing! Having never tried Guayusa before, I like it alot. It def compliments the herbs and enhances the flavors for a great taste and mouth feel.
Preparation
This was a greta way to start my morning! I wasn’t really feeling like having anything too strongly caffienated for whatever reason and remembered last week i picked this up while shopping.
A refreshing taste of mandarin orange with the smooth honeybush was wonderful! I really like how each flavor really compliments one another. Even without caffiene, it woke me up and got me ready for work! It’s very very yummy :)
Preparation
My coworker brought this back from New York after visiting the store out there and was very excited to share this teas with me.
The tea smells really like an apple cider base which drew me in immediately. I liked the fact that there is rose hip in there since it adds a nice tart flavour to balance out the the sweetness of the apple. The ginger is a nice prominate flavor but is not overpowering. Though the smell drew me in, the taste fell a little short of what i was hoping for. I don’t think that I would drink it as a plain tea again but I would like to use it as a cider base.
Preparation
Since it’s cold and rainy i figured since i’m at work maybe something roasty could help me relax and stay warm as though i was at home. I picked this tea out of the selection and was pleasantly happy that i did.
Once you open the package your senses are welcomed by the sweet aroma of apricot as well as the roasty scent of the tea. After brewing, the mellow apricot flavour and wonderful roastiness sent me back home in sitting in front of the fire place :D This is a great tea! The houji cha flavour is very pleasant. i think i may have to try this as iced tea some time :)
Preparation
This tea is awesome! It has a great balance of flavors of the chocolate/strawberry and puer. I love how this tea doesnt have that distinct puer flavor and that additional flavors can come through. I like the deep chocolate flavor and the sweet strawberry finish to it. This is a great tea :)
