drank Warmth – Cinnamon Spice by Tetley
871 tasting notes

I received this tea in my Christmas stocking a few years ago and I have since had to restock on a few occaisions. I am not a big fan of rooibos tea but I do like this tea. Cinnamon is one of my favorite spices and flavouring, so I think that is why I like this tea.
I find that if you steep it for too long the rooibos taste overtakes the cinnamon flavours.
It certainly does help you to warm up on those cold winter days!

This tea is good. I find it is very mild and does not taste like rooibos at all. There is a strong tropical fruit flavour to this tea. It tastes good hot or cold.
Although I have enjoyed this tea, I will probably not purchase it again.

I purchased this tea after smelling a cup my friend had brewed. It smelled absolutely delicious. However, I was disappointed in the taste. I found it to be very mild, if you steeped it for longer, or used more tea, the rooibos flavour just took over.

I am not a big rooibos fan. However, this is one of my favorite teas. I love the taste of the currents and berries. I drink this hot or iced and it is a staple in my tea cupboard.
I have found this brand to be the best. I have tried a few other brands they are just not up to par (however, that may be because I am so in love with the Georgia Tea Company version).

This was one of my first purchases from the Teavana website. I know its buyer beware when you purchase things over the internet but I thought I would take a chance, as the reviews were good. I was very disappointed when it arrived. It does not smell or taste of pear. I have had to add quite a bit of sweetener just to bring out any fruity flavour.
Although the tea is palatable, I will not be purchasing it again.

drank Mint Medley by Bigelow

This is one of my favourite teas. I drink this every afternoon. I love the taste of spearmint and have toiled over the years to find a delicious tea that actually tastes like natural mint, and is not artificial. I find many mint teas are biased by peppermint flavour.
I often buy a few boxes of this tea at a time as I drink it so much. And now my sister and grandmother raid my supplies as they too have fallen in love with this tea.
This tea also makes a great iced tea.

drank Spearmint (Organic) by DAVIDsTEA

I bought this tea as it smelled so good in the container at the store. It smelled just like Wrigley’s spearmint gum, like when you used to be able to get an actual stick of gum!
However, I was disappointed as it does not taste as good as it smells. The tea does not retain the strong, distinct, spearmint flavour after it is brewed. It is still a good tea but I find it to be very weak and becomes bitter if steeped for too long.
On a side note, it tastes delicious when blendind with formosa gunpowder green tea.
I will use up my supply but not purchase this tea again.

drank Moroccan Orange Blossom by Tea Forte

I absolutely loved this tea. I sampled it at work after someone brought in a sample pack of Tea Forte. I was disappointed that there were only two of this flavour of tea in the sample pack.
It has a mild citrousy taste. I was disappointed to learn, that the tea is only available in the sample pack (and I’m not too keen on the other flavours it comes with).
I have searched for other companies that make this kind of tea, but they appear few and far between.
If ever possible I would love to try this tea made from fresh orange blossoms!!

drank Blood Orange Pu'erh by DAVIDsTEA
871 tasting notes

Blood oranges are my all time favorite food. Where I live, they are only available in the winter months. When I was in the David’s Tea store and saw this blend, I had to try it. I was not sold on the smell and it just smelled citrous and not so much blood orange. But I just had to try it anyway.
I was disappointed as it does not taste anything like blood orange and I find the citrous flavour does not mix well with the taste of the pu’erh tea.
I will most likely take a long time finishing what I have.

drank Bamboozled by DAVIDsTEA

I would not normally try or buy this type of tea, however, I was in the store with my sister and smelled almost every canister of tea they had, and my sister conned me into buying this tea, only so she could drink it without having to buy it herself :)
I actually did like this tea once I figured out how to brew it. I use more tea than the recommendation. I find if you brew it for too long, it starts to taste artificial.
There is a strong fruity flavour that complements the vegetal flavour of the bamboo.
This tea has caused me to fall in love with bamboo tea!

Profile

Bio

I am a lifetime tea lover.

I did foray into the world of coffee for a period of time, but I returned to my true love. I still, however, enjoy a good cup of java.

My all time favorite tea is Earl Grey, which I drink every morning, the stronger the bergamot the better. I definitely prefer natural oil of bergamot to artificial flavouring.

I mostly like black and dark oolong teas. My current favs are Fujian blacks, Keemun and Assams, and Wuyi oolongs. I gravitate towards anything with lychee in it. I also drink a lot of herbal blends but am wary of hibiscus. I do not favour mate, or pu’erh tea, although I have found a few blends that I like. (I so badly want to like straight pu’erh tea but it all tastes gross to me. I keep trying though). Rooibos, green and white teas fall somewhere in the middle. I find myself gravitating towards heavily roasted oolongs and teas from Paris/France based companies.

I love iced teas and cold brews.

My current tea goal is to make the perfect cup of chai from scratch – almost there…I think.

I am in love with the whole experience of tea.
