Overall my experiences at this Davids Tea have been OK. I have encountered some staff that are very pushy or that do not know much about the product they are selling, but some staff are very good. I find that the staff are very pushy at getting you to taste the featured teas of the day, even after you decline several times. I have had some bad experiences with improper weighing of teas. Often the teas I wanted were out of stock. However, the staff is always good at letting you smell as many teas as you want. The pricing is OK.

Every time I have been to Cuppa T, the staff has been very knowledgable and helpful. There are sometimes not a large amount of teas, but there always is a variety. There are also tea accessories, although they can be a bit on the expensive side. You have to purchase in a minimum of 50g though. They do have a frequent flyer card where you get 50g free after buying 500g. I am often given free tea there, if the tea appears to be broken or of lesser quality, or if there is only a little bit of tea left, they give it to you for free.

I am very impressed with the customer service at Red Leaf Tea. If there is something wrong with your order, they contact you right away. I have tried both their flavoured matcha and their loose leaf tea, and have been satisfied with both. Red Leaf Tea also provides gift cards/discounts for reviews. The shipping to Canada is a bit expensive but my orders have arrived in a timely manner and well packaged.

Teavivre has great customer service. The packaging is really good and helps keep the tea from getting crushed and keeps the flavours and scents locked into the package. Every tea I have tried thus far has been of superior quality. Teavivre gives free samples with every order and they also have sampler set you can purchase, which is great for trying new teas. Being in Canada, shipping can sometimes be very expensive, and Teavivre has free shipping over $30. It took a little while for the package to arrive, but I was made aware of that when I placed the order. There is also a points system, where you can get points for purchases and for reviews, then these points can be applied as money towards future purchases. I will definitely order from Teavivre again.

Profile

Bio

I am a lifetime tea lover.

I did foray into the world of coffee for a period of time, but I returned to my true love. I still, however, enjoy a good cup of java.

My all time favorite tea is Earl Grey, which I drink every morning, the stronger the bergamot the better. I definitely prefer natural oil of bergamot to artificial flavouring.

I mostly like black and dark oolong teas. My current favs are Fujian blacks, Keemun and Assams, and Wuyi oolongs. I gravitate towards anything with lychee in it. I also drink a lot of herbal blends but am wary of hibiscus. I do not favour mate, or pu’erh tea, although I have found a few blends that I like. (I so badly want to like straight pu’erh tea but it all tastes gross to me. I keep trying though). Rooibos, green and white teas fall somewhere in the middle. I find myself gravitating towards heavily roasted oolongs and teas from Paris/France based companies.

I love iced teas and cold brews.

My current tea goal is to make the perfect cup of chai from scratch – almost there…I think.

I am in love with the whole experience of tea.
