266 Tasting Notes
When it comes to mint blends I’ve always felt Peppermint and Spearmint are at their best when they are blended together as they nicely even each other out. Stash Organic Cascade Mint is the first Peppermint/Spearmint teabag blend that does not add other herbs into the mix. Overall a very cool and refreshing blend that is one of the few that is able to distract me from shou puerh (but only for a limitned amount of tea).
Preparation
To be honest I can not really tell much of a difference between different brands of peppermint, most of the variety is likely saying more about the freshness of what the store is carrying. Although with that being said to far Celestial Seasonings has stood out as my favorite as it has a thicker flavor. Although that is likely because their bags are slightly larger than other brands like Twinings. Regardless being the perfect sized teabag for my favorite mug is enough to win me over.
Preparation
Overall a good lemon flavor with just the right amount of tartness without being too sour. Personally most of the time I immediately brew a green teabag in the mug after I finish brewing this one. By then the water has cooled down enough to be green tea friendly and the end result is a very balanced lemon green tea.
Preparation
Fairly decent overall. Brewed up light and sweet – mostly a weak chocolate flavor but some salted caramel flavor in the background. This is probably one of the best desert flavored teas that I’ve encountered, still I highly doubt I will be buying more when I finish the box.
Preparation
This is one of those fruity herbal teas that I sometimes think about as juice alternatives. If you are approaching this expecting a strong watermelon flavor you will be disappointed. One of the other reviewers refereed to it as being more of a Jolly Rancher style flavor, which I think is accurate to describe this tea as a calorie free liquid alternative to hard candy.
Preparation
After hearing so much about jingmai puerh and seeing this cake for a LOT less than most Jngmai I could not resist buying it. This is amazing as it stands out as both unusually sweet and mild when it comes to most sheng puerhs. If this cheap Jingmai cake is so good, I can only imagine how good the premium quality ones will be that I now plan on ordering next.
