219 Tasting Notes
YUMMO!! This tea is heavenly. Sipping it this morning and feel the need to turn the Christmas music on, but instead I’ll listen to Joshua Radin. Who, by the way, was one of the 2 people my friend Kim and I saw in concert last night at Newport Music Hall. His voice and this music blend perfectly :)
After enjoying the sample of Moon Festival, I ordered this delicious wintery tea. It reminded me of Della Terra’s Candy Cane tea from last winter and I was transported to a winter wonderland. They did not have this one available to take home, but had another that was so similar I can’t taste the difference :) So of course I bought it!
After lunch, we headed to Dublin. Stopped at a great used/overstock bookstore on the way. In Dublin, we had to check out the TehKu tea shop there. We enjoyed this experience much more than Zen-Cha. They had this delicious tea as a sample for the day. After tasting it, I knew I needed to take some home. The man working told me that he had just sold the last bag. I was devastated. But this story must have a happy ending…
And it did. I found a few bags hiding by the register :) My day was made. This tea reminds me of the little cakes made for the Moon Festival. Yum! Can’t wait for my lunch break to make a cup!
Yesterday was filled with travel, tea, good music, and great company. My friend Kim and I went to Columbus for the day. We started our day at ZenCha Tea Salon in the Short North. This was the tea I chose to have with my meal. I’m pretty sure our “Tea Ambassador” had me steep it much to long. It was very green and bitter. A bit disappointing, but I still drank every drop! The food we had was delicious, so that more than made up for the bitterness of the tea.
Good morning, Steepster friends. Enjoying a cuppa Della Terra’s Love In A Cup mixed with Candy Cane this morning in the winter wonderland of Middle Of A Cornfield, Ohio. SNOW!!! There is a reason I will never leave this great state: I love weather! Nearly all kinds of weather except HOT weather. Snow has to be my favorite.
My sis pointed out that I have not been on Steepster in a crazy long amount of time, so I thought I’d log in a note today :)
During my absence, I’ve been enjoying lots of teas in my cabinet. I’ve been trying to avoid any big purchases until I drank most of the tea in my cabinet, so here I am logging a tea I’ve logged before.
I find it interesting how my taste in tea changes throughout the year. For a while, this tea did not appeal to me any longer, but now it taste amazing. A great tea to start my day.
I’ve missed this community and will spend some of my “break” time today reading over your latest notes!!
Chocolate marshmallow awesomeness in a cup. I like this almost as much as Eight Candles. Della Terra’s black base is amazing. Always a good cup and never bitter. For me, the chocolate was the strongest flavor note with marshmallow playing a close second. Beautifully blended! Another win from Della Terra.
I’ve missed Steepster lately. It’s getting harder and harder for me to find time to post and read posts. Hope everyone is well. I plan to spend the next 20 minutes reading tasting notes :)
