219 Tasting Notes
What could be better than Eight Candles & Butterfly Kisses blended together? Both of them by themselves. A good idea in theory, but not in execution. Running terribly low on both. Looking forward to Della Terra’s sale Friday and a stop at Tehku Tea on my drive home from Thanksgiving. I will stock up on both as they are the teas I seem to be choosing each day :)
This was a bit of a letdown. I usually love every Della Terra tea I try. This one was okay, but nowhere near as good as the Candy Cane tea from last year. Very similar in flavor, but less minty. The popcorn did nothing for the tea except make it look interesting. I was hoping for a genmaicha sort of toasty-ness to the tea, but really it’s just a milder version of Candy Cane. Sadly, this will not be a “Christmas Tradition” in my house.
I was thinking about what sort of amazing flavor Della Terra could come up with next. If they took the marshmallow caramel dreaminess of Eight Candles and blended that in with a good genmaicha, it would be the most heavenly caramel popcorn flavor ever! Just a thought :)
This is by far my most logged tea. Reason: it is so HEAVENLY! Thinking I should have ordered more…
I love it. I’ve only had 1 oz because every time I go to order it’s sold out. :P Luckily someone gave me some in a swap.
Good to hear! I can’t wait! My fist tea purchase online was with Della Terra because of your awesome Black Friday sale last year. :D
Yum. It’s always exciting when you open your mailbox to find a package of tea you forgot you ordered. This is a refreshing and delightful green tea. The name fits the taste perfectly. Another score for Della Terra. Wish I had ordered more than an ounce.
Cute name
