Huh, not bad for coming out of a box! I mixed it with some vanilla soy milk which may have been a mistake because it is a bit on the sweet side. I think it would have done better without the added sweetness of the soy. There is a slight soapiness to it, but only if I’m really thinking about it (which is a problem I have run into with other pumpkin spice chai). The spices seem to be mixed well with clove slightly dominating. There is something leaving a nice little burn in my throat after each sip and I can’t tell if it is pepper or ginger. I’m on the verge of getting a cold, so the extra heat feels good and my whole body warmed up a bit after several sips. I put a little of the concentrated tea in the pot of oatmeal that I was making and it made it smell really good, but it’s hard to tell if the taste came through especially when I’m sipping on a mug of it. I’ll have to experiment more in the future with oatmeal chai.

My name is Dustin and I like tea.

I’m an added flavor kind of tea fan, but have had a growing appreciation for plain. I want my tea to remind me of cookies and cakes with coconut and almond slices with a hint of chocolate drizzled on top. I want dancing ponies and flying monkeys shooting off fireworks! And no hibiscus. Hibiscus is the devil.
