Steeped up a steaming mug of this dessert scented black tea this morning with breakfast. Thanks Lori for sending a generous portion of this tea my way. It’s a sweet, toasted hazelnut black tea that did well on its own. I think next time I’ll try it with a splash of cream and dollop of sugar and see what flavors it may bring out. I think it would hold up well to milk and sugar. This is a delicious dessert tea (that I had for breakfast :))

I have dessert teas all the time for breakfast! On the rare special occasion I even make matcha or chai drinking chocolate for breakfast… which of course is ok since tea and chocolate are both high in antioxidents… right…? It’s great to be an adult and drink/eat whatever the heck you want for breakfast!
To me, this tea has a tendency to be astringent. Also, it should definitely hold up well to cream and sugar…this tea is VERY strong..

I haven’t tried this one plain, but I did have it in a blend (with vanilla oolong and irish breakfast, I think?) It reminded me of hazelnut vanilla coffee and was soooo good. I bought my mother a tin of hazelnut…I’ll have to try it on its own next time I’m over there.
