1040 Tasting Notes
I really thought I would love this tea. Unfortunately that’s not the case. I’m not quite sure what it is that’s wrong with it for me. It’s unbalanced somehow, and I’m not really experienced enough to describe it more than that. The flavors seems to be fighting each other rather than being complimentary. It’s really strong flavored, kind of in your face, normally I like that, but this is just too much. Not for me.
I’m sorry. I was really excited to get this tea. Brewed according to directions, added some sweetener, and settled in to enjoy. Hmmmm, nothing – that’s what I tasted nothing. It was VERY WEAK black tea with just a tiny hint of cinnamon way in the back. I didn’t taste any pumpkin (and after reading some of the reviews here, I’m wondering why there aren’t any orange pumpkin bits in my leaves?). The dry tea doesn’t really smell like pumpkin. Really disappointed. I’m going to try it again with more leaves, but am not optimistic when the leaves don’t really smell like anything. :((
I’m disagreeing with the general consensus here. I do taste pumpkin, but I taste fake candy pumpkin. It’s WAY too sweet, too much like candy. I think the chai spices are well balanced. To cut the in your face sweet candy taste, I’ve been mixing it about 50/50 with my favorite straight black chai.
Glad others enjoy it, but it’s not for me.
This is PERFECT for me. It is exactly what I think it should be. I LOVE this tea. It’s earthy, it’s coffee, there is a bit of chocolate? or maybe caramel? something rich hiding in the background. I’m relatively new to the whole world of tea, I may not have the correct vocabulary to describe this, but OMG it’s good comes to mind.
I like this tea. It’s fruity, it tart, it’s a little creamy. Not much wrong with it. I thinks is more generic fruity than specifically Strawberry/Rhubarb. I found it hard to find the actual rhubarb flavor. I just found the tartness. That being said, I do like it.
