Was a fun day out with my friends today :) next week at school is going to be hectic so today was the day to have fun. Anywho I ended up going to my friend’s house afterward, and offered me a cup of this tea. Seeing as my last taste if this tea was not at all good, I was a little bit hesitant, but she insisted that it was perfect for me so she steeped it up and made it as a latte. And it was good! I’m convinced that my tea was just rotten or some sort of bad thing, because I enjoyed my friend’s batch. It was super creamy, with that rum taste, and lots of coconut. Definitely will buy another 50 grams in hope that the tea will be better!

Steeped up this tea again today. It tasted a little bit different from the first time I had made it. I tasted more of the apple this time and a little bit more coconut which made it more creamy. The mint was still the major flavor in it but the other favors aren’t overshadowed like they were last time. Definitely a tea to keep!

I wasn’t originally going to buy this tea because of its strong hibiscus smell, but my cousin convinced me that the dragonfruit in it would make it worthwhile, so I caved. Probably not the best decision on my part. The dragonfruit was a pretty strong component if this tea, but the hibiscus ruined it. Too be fair though I don’t think tea was that great in the first place. It tasted rather…. Musty (?). And not in a good way. Like the way gym lockers smell. So not good. I’ll probably give it to my cousin to finish off; she seemed to think it was ok for the occasional drink

If there has ever been a tea that I wanted to be amazing, it would be this tea. I wanted it to be SOOO good, after a somewhat crappy day from school and whatnot. But to my disappointment this tea was…… I don’t want to say awful but, it was not in anyway good. I stepped it in boiling water for 4 minutes, following the instructions, and added a bit of milk. I took one sip and was quite surprised (not in a good way). I was praying that my taste buds were off or something and that the second sip would be good, but the taste was the same. Maybe the milk was off, but I highly doubt out. The tea had this weird metal taste, almost as if the tea had gone bad, and I don’t know maybe it had, but I had just bought it a couple days before…. I don’t know. Maybe it’s me and I messed up, or maybe the tea has gone bad. Anybody have ideas on what maybe went wrong?

My friend steeped a cup of this up for me while I was over the other day, saying it was her favorite milk oolong, but for me it was just alright I suppose. It seemed a little watery and flavorless, but it could have been that she added too much water. It’s certainly smooth and a little buttery, but i think less water should do the trick. I might pick up a little size to try it out

I was really anticipating this tea because all of the rave reviews here on steepster and to be honest I was a touch disappointed. Perhaps because this was some of the last bits they had of the tea at my local David’s Tea but I didn’t taste much pumpkin :/ it tasted mostly of chai, something I have mixed feelings for but it wasn’t bad at all. I’m glad I tried it and will finish the rest but I probably wouldn’t go for it next year. Maybe who knows

Another tea I got from David’s Tea on a whim, and I don’t regret buying it at all. My FAVORITE taste in this whole earth (probably) is coconut. I love the smell, the taste, everything. I’m a little bit addicted to say the least. But anyway. It smelled mostly of mint, with a couple notes of coconut, which I was a little bit disappointed about. Once infused, the tea tastes mostly of mint, but it’s really creamy from the coconut, and a touch sweet from what I’m guessing is the apple. The coconut isn’t a prominent flavor in the tea, but you can taste it as a finishing note, until it disappears. Overall it’s a good tea, creamy and minty, definitely something I like, but I won’t drink everyday – it’s a little bit too decadent for that, but I’ll definitely buy more the next time I get to go to a David’s Tea

drank Apple Custard by DAVIDsTEA

My first review here! (and one of my first times buying from David’s Tea)

When I saw this in the store, I loved the scent. It reminded me of a mix between apple cider and vanilla, but mostly Apple cider. I was a bit miffed as to why coriander was in this tea, and a bit worried as well – I enjoy coriander in savory types of things, but it didn’t seem to fit with the other ingredients in the tea. But you can’t taste the coriander anyhow.

The strongest flavor, is overwhelming apple, and a hint of vanilla – it tastes quite like how it smells. It’s extremely creamy, especially for something that has no dairy products in it! I had it right after our thanksgiving feast, and though its not exactly a dessert tea, I thought it was pleasant way to finish off a fantastic meal. But if you leave the tea for a while, it takes on a bitter/sour (?) aftertaste. I’m not quite sure why it took on that taste because it was fine in the beginning. It’s not unbearable, but it’s not at all something you would want to drink too often.
All in all, it’s an ok tea definitely something for the fall season. Not something that needs to be in my cupboard at all times, but it’s good to have every once and a while

Bio

I’m rather new to this world of tea – I was only introduced to it in the summer of 2014, though I’ve always enjoyed the straight teas from Asia, mostly oolongs and green teas, that my family sends every now and again. I’m still a student so I haven’t been able to branch out to a ton of different places, but as soon as I can order things online I foresee my tea cabinet filling up quickly.

My favorite note is coconut, but I’m struggling to find a tea that lets coconut shine (so if anyone has a recommendation please tell me!). Other notes I like are vanilla, maple, peaches, apple, mint, nuts, caramel, chocolate, and a lot of other ones. Notes I’m not to particularly fond of are banana, a couple florals (mostly rose and lavender), and hibiscus (in most teas at least). I’m sure as I try more teas I’ll discover more things I like and don’t like, but this is my initial list.
