drank Mojito Marmalade by Tea Forte

Oof! It was tasty!

My first of the sampler pack to try :D Man I was so excited when I got this in the mail yesterday.

First of all, I need to curb my excitement and only drink these in the afternoon. The no-caffiene thing in the morning hit me kind of hard haha – lucky I chose this kind of tea.

The tangy citrus helped wake me up! :D
It really has a jammy taste to it, a “thick” texture too.
The spearmint is just right, didn’t overpower the marmalade taste for me. What it really did was make me crave this gooey mess all over a hot buttered english muffin.

I’ve been waiting all week to try this!
When I smelled it today and last week, all I could think of was that this could be my yummy replacement for Strawberry White! of course then I learned that hisbiscus is bad for my tastebuds, but I still wanted to give it a try :)

It’s quite tart (of course) but I am having it with sweetener so that helps a bit. The pomegranate taste is genuine! Tastes just like eating a juicy pomegranate – I like that. The white tea gives it a solid base – it’s not bitter at all in that respect. They must have steeped it well for me today :)

It’s not my favorite fruit or tea but I have to say this would be a great one for tart berry-tea lovers. Yum!

Cattibrie

Weird. Mine today was sweet with a little tart. No sweetener at all.
I am really enjoying it and I bought 50g and got it from a fresh bag. Yay. We’ll see how this is hot.

Daisy Chubb

The girl who sold it to me loves it hot!
Ibet if they would have steeped mine a little less it would have been less tart for sure. I am tempted to steep it myself at home, it’s pretty quality tea. You’ve inspired me :D I’ll get a little bag today!

I cold brewed this last night, and I am not liking it :(

The roobios is very very woody and leaving a bad aftertaste after each sip. The first taste is a tangy strawberry, but it quickly changes to simply rooibos.

I had one bag and tried cold brewing to see if I could somehow avoid the hibiscus ( – and it worked, the brew is not sour at all! So that’s something I guess haha.

drank Jasmine Green Tea by Tetley

I don’t think I oversteeped but I made a jug for iced tea, it was way too bitter even with lots of agave so, yeah! It wasn’t even so much that it was bitter, but that it was VERY flowery in cold form.

I’m going to stick to drinking this tea hot. Hot, it’s relaxing, calming and very tasty. :)

I’m going to mix the rest of the jug with some Strawberry Daquiri mix I have and make it into popsicles.

drank Moroccan Mint by Stash Tea
516 tasting notes

When I’m confronted with one of those generic tea stands in an airport, tim hortons or cafe, I will always get some sort of peppermint/mint tea. I know it will be good. I know it will be refreshing, dependable mint!

It’s a Canadian holiday today, and I work in the US department so I am at work. Like all Canadian holidays. Anyways, I needed something to wake me up. I finished my McDonalds iced coffee (bad I know :( ) so this was great because mint wakes me up with no need for caffiene!

I find the green tea prominent in my cup this morning. Maybe it was the steep time or water temp but it’s definitely there. I like a little cream in my mint teas, but this one is good ol’ quality Stash so it’s just fine without. The green tea is what makes me not even want cream I think.

So there we have it! a nice mint tea for the rest of us.

Not cool! When in Canada, do like the Canadians. Poor form US department!

Agreed! Granted, we work very closely with Denver and make up a large team here. So if we don’t work, nothing gets done and people lose money (I work in insurance) But still! No buses on a Can. stat, nothing is open for food, the cafeteria in our building is closed. Yeah. No fun. All my friends say it must be illegal and against labor laws but I assure them that it’s just as legal as the Tim Horton’s workers that make their coffee on a Can. stat lol

drank Lemon Chamomile by Tetley

This tea tastes like what happens if you leave your cup out for a few days, a cup with cream and sugar, and it gets all moldy and gross. But you forgot and made a cup of tea in it anyways. At least, that’s what I thought I did when I first had this tea.

So I washed my cup really well, and tried again. Still gross.

Tried again a week later. Same thing :(

It smells lovely, like it would put me right to sleep, but I’ll give this one to my mom-in-law as punishment for her giving me DT’s Cinnamon Heart (Only half kidding. maybe she’ll like it! haha, I’ll warn her first of course n_n)

drank Mellow Moments by Stash Tea
516 tasting notes

This is one of my most favorite Stash teas.

My boyfriend and I just finished a week-long, stressful, sweaty move across the city in gool ol’ +30 Saskatchewan weather. I’m not complaining, just noting that it was a tad warmer than our usual crappy summer days haha.

We drink this tea hot all the time when we need a break from the world (he’s not a huge tea fan, but he loves anything with licorice in it so I convinced him to try this tea and he loves it, even if it doesn’t taste like licorice!) The mint flavour is usually just a nice hint in the background of the other fruity, mellow flavours.

Needless to say, I made iced tea yesterday to refresh ourselves as we unpacked. It was just perfect. because it’s herbal, I brewed a pot with 2 teabags and just stuck it in the fridge to cool, teabags and all over night. A little bit of agave and we were good to go!

Wow this tea is up there with the best of them.

It’s a tiny little bit peppery, and absolutely exotic! As usual, Davids gets the name of the tea just right. :D
I am so happy to be drinking this iced today after yesterday’s Citron Oolong mess. (I shook it and a bunch of bubbles formed.. then I realised I must not have washed all the soap out so THAT’S why it tasted like dish water)

Anyways – this tea is unique – very coconut/pineapple and spicy. It had me at the first sip.
Unlike some, I can totally image this hot and loving every sip. As iced, it’s a delightful treat for the tastebuds. Drink it. That is all.

I really want to try this one. It sounds nice.

Daisy Chubb

Oh please do! it strikes me as a refreshing iced summer tea, but also as a hot fall-winter tea. It’s really unique.

I’m having this iced today.
It’s an alright tea, just not for me, I think.

It’s quite lemon-y/flower-y and a little bit oolong-y.

Honestly, as I drink it, I can’t think of much to say. A nice lemon tea for lemon tea lovers b^_^

EDIT: Ok now i know what it reminds me of. I used to have these lemon-chamomile suckers I would suck on when I was feeling sick. Reminds me of those. Maybe I associate the tea with being sick and that’s why it’s so-so.

I’ll start off by saying that I may be biased, as I am a HUGE Earl Grey fan. It’s my tea of choice. I’m London Fog obsessed.
Therefore – I quite enjoyed this tea!

The smell of it makes me want to give a higher rating, but I find it’s quite bitter and leaves the mouth dry more than other Earls I have consumed. The smell though.. wow. It’s amazing.

I just had it plain, nothing added, brewed hot. Had a little sample at my mother-in-law’s house.

I will probably purchase a small amount, 50 g I’m thinking, simply because I want to try it in a London Fog. Vanilla already added – me likey. I’ll rate again when that happens, perhaps my rating will go higher!

Faith

So good in a London Fog! Om nom nom…

My favourite tea companies are DavidsTea and Verdant Tea. They please my palette in different ways – and I love them both for it.

I’m back bb!
