Not sure what I think of this one, didn’t gongfu it, just brewed it western style. No energy to gongfu it. It’s not bitter and fairly sweet with a taste I just don’t know how to describe. I have very little experience with white puerh and may have over steeped it at one minute. It’s a very light weight tea, I weighed out about nine grams and brewed it in my Glass Perfect Tea Maker.

LOL I’m blaming you a little for ordering some of this tonight… :)

I did not exactly write a glowing review. Hope you like it.

But I drank two versions in the last couple of days and LOVED them – saw this and well you know – had to give it a try considering how much easier it would be to have an online source – so thanks for posting. I bought a cake from Dragon Tea House too… :)

I have this tea and just reviewed it not that long ago. I was wondering why it wasn’t under this tea. It happens to be under GoShopStreet because that’s what was on the bag. It’s good tea!

I had seen that review UbacatLOL and because of it you were getting some of the “blame” for my Moonlight purchases last night. I went looking, now that I read Yang-chu’s explanation in the sheng or shou thread, for “Yue Guang Bai” and found it on the ESGreen site too…. I’m still really confused – some companies have it under pu’erh and some under white – I ordered White Night from Mandala just on a whim (friend was talking about it) and it could be one of them but I didn’t realize that at the time…. I know nothing other than I REALLY liked the two samples OMGsrsly gave me and NEED to explore it more. :)

I ordered White Night from Mandala too! :D I’m going to send it and my two other examples to Sil to see what she thinks.

I’m not surprised you like Moonlight tea because to me it’s like a fusion of black and white (only it’s really not). I’m drawn in by the light taste & hay notes and just a hint of black. Because you like black teas, you are probably drawn in by the malty flavour that’s in some blacks. My first purchase of this tea was totally random and a nice surprise.

I am Allan. I live and work in Long Island, New York. I have been amassing a tea collection for nearly two years and have spent way too much money. I now try to buy mostly Puerh as I like it most and it lasts nearly forever. Black tea has a habit of going bad. If anyone is interested in tea swaps I am open to ideas and have quite a cupboard.
