12 Tasting Notes
The name is super enticing, it literally sent a tingle down my spine.
Looseleaf Smell: The smell reminds me of those candies you get at The Keg that are mint with a chocolate centre and cut your tongue. You know the ones? They’re real good.
Steeped Smell: a minty potato…. but in a good way
Appearance: It looks like how a shallow pond would come across if a young sassy brook trout came whipper snapperin’ along the bank, y’know
Taste: provides the drinker with a mysterious foggy aura, and engulfs them in a peaceful state of minty aftertaste
The loose leaf smell is pure campino candy… deeeeelish! Sweet and creamy.
The initial taste is a hit of sweetness, but the tartness of the rhubarb and hibiscus is quick to shine through.
Surprisingly full-bodied as it is a fruity, herbal blend.
It will make you smile.
Preparation
As if crafted by the Michelin Man himself, you can taste the soul of a marshmallow in this blend.
A subtle black tea taste, very delicate in nature. A sweet softly flavoured tea with spicy undertones. The cinnamon is most prominent, the cloves give off an eggnog vibe and the ginger is subtly present.Slightly cloudy due to the melted mini marshmallows.
A treat on any day of the year, but holds a particularly warming quality ideal for the fall season.
Preparation
New best recipe ever:
Brew a full tsp or 2 in 1/2 cup hot water for 5 minutes. Add a packet of hot choco mix, cocoa powder and sweetener or chocolate syrup and top with hot water and/or milk. AKA pumpkin spice hot chocolate. DEEELISH!!!
Tea on it’s own is my absolute favourite tea. I never get sick of it. It’s amazing as a latte, or just straight. Perfect balance of sweet and spice.

When I first tried cranberry pear it was right around christmas time. I still find this tea reminds me of the holiday season anytime I drink it.
It’s a black tea, but there is a high fruit to tea ratio so that’s not the main flavour of the tea. It is honestly a perfect blend of pear, cranberry and a hint of apple. The cranberry is not too tart or overwhelming so you can still taste the delicate pear. It almost combines to its own flavour, cranberry-pear. It’s a very light, delicate tea, and has a wonderful aroma that is an accurate preview of the taste.

The dried tea smells like chocolate covered raisins, does anyone else agree?
I really enjoy this tea. I often describe it as tasting like a soft, straight black tea with a sweet warming flavour. I don’t even know if I would be able to tell it was coconuty based on taste alone, but the smell helps give it that coconut flavour.
I often oversteep it and find it a bit bitter. Today I used a lower temperature and only let it steep for 3 mins and 30 seconds. PERFECT!
I don’t ever get that chocolate taste that David’s Tea mentions in it’s description of the tea but it is still very tasty nonetheless!!
Preparation
This is my favourite straight black tea by far. It is such a bold flavour, with an almost malty sweetness to it. Once steeped it has almost a honey scent to it.
My advice is to let it steep for only 2-3 minutes, any longer and it will start to taste bitter. It is so finely chopped that the flavours and colour are released almost instantly. I was told that honey compliments this tea very well (as opposed to sugar) if you like your teas sweet, but I prefer it with only a splash of milk.
