This is an interesting one. I think I picked it out in the Lupicia store because it was the most unusual-sounding one they had in stock!
The sachet contains tea as well as some visible fruit pieces and very red petals. The fruit scent is light but intoxicating, and once brewed, the aroma becomes much creamier as well. The liquor is a dark amber color.
I don’t have much experience with pu-erh, and was hesitant because a fruit blend probably wasn’t a very typical place to find it. How good of an idea was it, really? But this tea is deliciously smooth. The fruit flavors really aren’t a big presence in the taste, and the overall effect of any flavors added is a smooth creamy finish. This is definitely an earthy tea, slightly mushroomy and quite rich. The best I can describe it is that it’s not similar to any teas I’m familiar with (but of course!).
