This tea, for me, has all these hints of flavor and sweetness… but they’re only hints. I wish it had more flavor and more of the elements only hinted at.

A nice, refreshing tea. I think I’d love it iced for the summer, but I don’t think my tin is going to last that long!

I have that problem as well with Thé sur le Nil. Must try this one as well.

From my review at It’s All About the Leaf:
http://www.itsallabouttheleaf.com/2120/tea-review-grace-tea-company-china-yunnan-silver-tip-choice-2/

I have tried to write this review for something like 3-4 months. Every time I get excited about drinking this tea, get excited about brewing up tea, and then as I start drinking the tea I lose focus and end up working on something else.

So today, I’m trying to actually focus. This tea review, it SHALL be written. But as I’m drinking it, I think the fact that I am easily distracted is part of the review itself. The tea is just not holding my attention long enough to really get a good review. The aroma of the unbrewed leaf is malty with overtones of pepper. It’s got a lovely chestnut color. But the flavor is more subtle. It’s got a hint of sweetness, and some richness and a hint of earth to it. When you take a sip, the brew tastes good – but it just slips your mind quickly. It’s a nice tea, it’s just not my cup of tea.

Yum, yum. Finshing off the part of my stash of this tea at my work. Luckily I have more at home.

This is an amazing tea. Very floral, very aromatic, with a silky mouth feel and mellow flavor. I picked this up in San Francisco over the Christmas holiday, and wasn’t letting myself open it until we moved in to the new house.

I’m so glad I decided to treat myself today – this is lovely.

Oh, so sad. I am looking for a replacement for the Earl Grey de la Creme from SpecialTeas. And I was hoping this might be it. Unfortunately, it isn’t.

I got this from the wonderful free sample offer from Tea Licious (Thank you so much!) and tried it today at work. Too much bergamot for me. It triggered my “you’re drinking perfume” taste bud. I couldn’t finish the cup.

Now, it’s possible that I used too much leaf, and I will try making it again, to see if I messed it up. And if so, I’ll definitely change the rating. But really, this tea just wasn’t for me.

I have been searching the world over for a replacement for this tea as well. I found this post via an internet search and am wondering if you have managed to find something as good yet? I’m starting to despair. This is THE TEA in our house. . . Please let me know – any help you can offer to further my quest would be very much appreciated!

Distinctly Teas had a good one, but I have no idea how easy they are to order from. Good luck. I’m still searching myself.

Very interesting. It’s like a black tea with a twist. I need another few cups to really get my head around this – but it’s really not like a lot of other oolongs I’ve had. I think I like it. :)

I think I was hoping for, or expecting too much with this tea. It really didn’t do it for me. I think I just don’t like honeybush, just like I don’t like rooibos.

Bio

I’ve got a lot of interests: sushi, science fiction/fantasy, medieval recreation, cooking (specifically medieval cooking), reading, British science fiction (Doctor Who!), hand sewing and now TEA!!

My favorites tend to be oolongs and flavored black teas. I like highly flavored teas more than delicate ones. Rooibos tends to taste like dirt to me, and hibiscus is very sour to my palate. But I’m always up to try all sorts of things, and will often find things that I really like which I thought I’d hate.
