10 Tasting Notes
Before adding water noted the Dark blue-green leaves and bits of flowers. At first sip was surprised to find the floral taste weakened the usual bitterness of black tea, tasting dry, but not over sweet like some floral teas will. This taste was good to the bottom of the cup. On second steep, the same effect was not possible the tea became too weak to create the same taste or color.
Preparation
Before adding the water the aroma strong and floral struck me with promise. After 4 min steep a light yellow-green color with same floral scent at first sip. This flavor lasted to the last sip. On a whim I tried a second steep and was not disappointed, the tea was understandably lighter in color but held the same floral taste. This only began to lessen by half-cup. A very pleasing Tea.
Preparation
The scent of the tea was very promising, dark and nutty. After pouring and steep the coconut flavor was nice against the black tea. I may have let it steep too long as when it began to cool the coconut flavor was overwhelmed by the black tea taste.
Preparation
Using a gifted sample, the aroma of the dry tea (in bag) is alluring. This scent carries over well once brewed and let steep (2 min). The taste dances on the tongue like a light cake. Cinnamon and Vanilla combine evenly, but don’t completely over power the other notes. An enjoyable seasonal tea.
